Simple Self-Care Tips That Go a Long Way

In our busy lives, it’s easy to overlook self-care. However, taking simple steps to care for yourself can make a significant difference in your overall well-being. Here are some straightforward self-care tips that can help you lead a more balanced, fulfilling life. Remember, self-care isn’t about luxury or indulgence; it’s about taking actions that nurture your physical, emotional, and mental health.

1. Trust Your Instincts: If It Feels Wrong, Don’t Do It

Your instincts are a powerful tool. If something feels wrong, it probably is. Trusting your gut can prevent you from making decisions that might lead to stress or regret. Whether it’s in your personal life or at work, listening to your inner voice can guide you toward choices that align with your values and well-being. We often look back and say “I wish I would have know.” Or “I wish someone would have told me.” Well you did get a warning. Listen to your gut. 5 SELF CARE TIPS TO REFRESH AND RECHARGE

2. Communicate Clearly: Say Exactly What You Mean and Mean What You Say

Clear communication is essential for healthy relationships and personal integrity. Saying exactly what you mean leaves little room for misunderstandings or misinterpretations. It also ensures that your needs and boundaries are respected. Practicing clear and honest communication can lead to more genuine connections and fewer conflicts. Some of us are taught early on, to not ask or express your needs or concerns. Doing so in a respectful manner will help oneself, relationships, and others.

3. Stop the Negative Self-Talk

Negative self-talk can be incredibly damaging to your self-esteem and mental health. Challenge those negative thoughts by asking yourself if they are true or helpful. Replace them with positive affirmations and focus on your strengths and achievements. Over time, you’ll notice a significant improvement in your mood and self-confidence.

4. Don’t Be Afraid to Say No

Saying no can be difficult, especially if you’re a people-pleaser. However, it’s essential to recognize your limits and protect your time and energy. Saying no doesn’t make you selfish; it means you’re prioritizing your well-being. Remember, you can’t pour from an empty cup. By setting boundaries, you ensure that you have the resources to take care of yourself and others effectively. My husband and I often laugh in our early days we would say yes, especially at work, because we knew how to do it, helped someone out, and allowed us to learn. All the while saying yes doesn’t get you a raise, picked to be on the team, get you an invite, or any other pat on the back.

5. Don’t Be Afraid to Say Yes

Conversely, don’t be afraid to say yes to opportunities that excite you or align with your goals. Taking risks and stepping out of your comfort zone can lead to personal growth and new experiences. Whether it’s accepting a new job offer, joining a social event, or trying a new career hobby, saying yes can open doors to enriching experiences.

6. Be Honest About Your Feelings

Honesty about your feelings is crucial for your mental health and your relationships. Suppressing emotions can lead to stress, anxiety, and resentment. Whether you’re feeling happy, sad, angry, or anxious, acknowledge and express those feelings in a healthy way. Talking to a trusted friend, journaling, or seeking professional help can be beneficial. In turn, if your partner, spouse, coworker, family, or friend ask you how you feel, tell them.

Self-care doesn’t have to be complicated. By trusting your instincts, communicating clearly, stopping negative self-talk, setting boundaries, embracing opportunities, and being honest about your feelings, you can significantly improve your well-being. These simple self-care tips can go a long way in helping you lead a more balanced and fulfilling life. Remember, taking care of yourself isn’t a luxury; it’s a necessity. Make self-care a priority, and watch how it positively impacts every aspect of your life.

Don’t Wait Until the Weekend to Have Fun: Embrace Joy Every Day

In our fast-paced world, it’s easy to fall into the trap of reserving fun and relaxation exclusively for the weekends. We often see weekdays as a grind to get through, with the promise of enjoyment and leisure dangling just out of reach until Saturday and Sunday. But why wait until the weekend to have fun? Life is happening now, and every day offers opportunities for joy and fulfillment. Here’s why you should embrace fun every day and how to do it.

woman in gray and black sports bra

The Importance of Daily Joy

1. Boosts Mental Health:
Engaging in enjoyable activities on a daily basis can significantly improve your mental health. Fun activities reduce stress, boost your mood, and help you stay positive.

2. Increases Productivity:
Taking time for fun during the week can actually make you more productive. Short breaks filled with enjoyable activities can refresh your mind, increase creativity, and improve focus when you return to work. SELF CARE IS A LIFESTYLE

3. Enhances Relationships:
Sharing fun moments with family, friends, or coworkers strengthens your relationships. These shared experiences create memories, build bonds, and promote a sense of connection and belonging.

How to Incorporate Fun into Your Weekdays

1. Schedule Mini-Breaks:
Plan short breaks throughout your day to engage in activities you enjoy. Whether it’s a quick walk, a favorite hobby, or a chat with a friend, these mini-breaks can make your day more enjoyable. We have been loving midday coffee dates, going for a walk in the mall, and catching a matinee.

2. Try Something New:
Break the routine by trying something new. It could be a new recipe, a different route for your walk, or a new book. Novel experiences can add excitement to your weekdays. My jam has been creating delicious recipes that offers variety, color, and flavor.

3. Socialize:
Make time to connect with others. Plan a lunch date, have a coffee break with a colleague, or call a friend. Social interactions can provide a much-needed break and add joy to your day. So my husband and I challenged ourselves to say yes to an invite that we would normally turn down. To our surprise each time it’s been amazing and an eye opening experience.

4. Exercise:
Physical activity is not only good for your body but also great for your mind. Find a form of exercise you enjoy, whether it’s dancing, yoga, or a team sport, and make it a part of your weekday routine. It’s no secret I love to walk. But finding a different path each day is a small step in getting outside your comfort zone.

5. Celebrate Small Wins:
Acknowledge and celebrate your achievements, no matter how small. Treat yourself to something nice, share your success with a friend, or simply take a moment to appreciate your efforts. I have been very good lately giving myself a good pat on the back. Don’t let one of my Pinterest recipes turn out great, I am dancing honey.

Example Weekday Fun Activities

1. Morning Dance Party:
Start your day with a burst of energy by having a mini dance party. Play your favorite upbeat songs and dance around your living room. It’s a great way to wake up and set a positive tone for the day. This is the easiest way to set yourself up for a good mood.

2. Midday Walk:
Take a break during lunch to go for a walk outside. Enjoy the fresh air, observe nature, and clear your mind. Walking can help you return to work feeling refreshed and invigorated.

3. Evening Relaxation:
End your day with a relaxing activity you love. It could be reading a book, watching a movie, or practicing meditation. This helps you unwind and ensures you go to bed feeling happy and satisfied. Find whatever it is that soothes you. My night time skincare routine does if for me.

4. Impromptu Outings:
You don’t have to wait for the weekend to go to the pool, have ice cream, go to the movies, or have a lunch or dinner date. Plan impromptu outings during the week. These activities can be just as enjoyable on a Tuesday evening as they are on a Saturday afternoon.

5. Treat Yourself:
If you’re craving a treat, don’t wait until the weekend. Have that ice cream cone after work or indulge in your favorite snack. Small treats can brighten your day and give you something to look forward to.

Embrace Fun Every Day!

Don’t wait for the weekend to experience joy and relaxation. Start incorporating fun into your weekdays today! Choose one or two activities from the list above and commit to making them a regular part of your routine. Life is too short to live for the weekends – find joy in every day and watch your overall happiness and well-being soar.

By making small changes and prioritizing fun throughout the week, you can enhance your overall quality of life. Embrace joy daily, and don’t let the busyness of the week rob you of happiness. Start today, and make every day count! #EverydayFun

Simple Saturday Self-Care Agenda: Refresh and Rejuvenate

Saturdays are a perfect time to focus on self-care and rejuvenation. After a long week, taking a day to prioritize your well-being can help you recharge and prepare for the week ahead. Here’s a simple yet effective self-care agenda to make the most of your Saturday. This routine includes drinking plenty of water, deep conditioning your hair, shredding old mail, starting a new book, doing a little more decluttering, and, most importantly, resting.

woman in white long sleeved shirt holding a pen writing on a paper

1. Sleep In a Little

Start your self-care Saturday by allowing yourself to sleep in a little longer than usual. On Saturdays I typically allow my body to gradually wake up. I sleep in a little longer and let my body tell me when to get up. Give your body the extra rest it needs after a busy week. Adequate sleep is essential for physical and mental health, helping to improve mood, boost cognitive function, and increase energy levels. Set no alarm or a later one, and enjoy the luxury of waking up naturally. Sleep has helped me tremendously as I’ve made it a priority.

2. Drink Plenty of Water

Start your day by hydrating your body. Some days I may slack on the amount of water I drink. Typically on Saturday is my day to drink as much as I can. Drinking plenty of water is essential for maintaining good health. It helps flush out toxins, improves skin complexion, boosts energy levels, and supports overall bodily functions. Aim to drink at least 8 glasses of water throughout the day. To make it more enjoyable, you can infuse your water with slices of lemon, cucumber, or fresh mint. DIY Cucumber Lemon Water GREAT REFRESHER

3. Deep Condition Your Hair

Next on my self-care agenda is to give my hair some TLC with a deep conditioning treatment. After a week of exercise and styling products, your hair deserves some extra TLC. Choose a deep conditioner that suits your hair type, apply it generously, and let it sit for the recommended time. While you wait, you can relax and enjoy a cup of tea. My favorite tea at the moment is Ginger and Honey. This treatment will leave your hair feeling soft, hydrated, and revitalized.

4. Shred Old Mail

Decluttering is a powerful way to clear your mind and create a more organized space. I’m going to spend some time shredding old mail and documents that we no longer need. This simple task not only helps protect your personal information but also reduces clutter. I turn on my oldie but goodie station, get some water, and a snack and shred away. You’ll feel a sense of accomplishment as you see the stack diminish.

5. Start a New Book

There’s nothing quite like getting lost in a good book. I’m working on reading more. Whether you prefer fiction, non-fiction, or self-help, choose a book that interests you and dive in. Reading is a great way to relax, reduce stress, and stimulate your mind. Get comfy, cozy, and relaxed and allow yourself to get absorbed in the story or the knowledge you’re gaining.

6. Do a Little More Decluttering

In addition to shredding old mail, I’m going to tackle a closet to declutter. You don’t have to tackle everything at once; even small steps can make a big difference. Focus on one area, such as your closet, a kitchen drawer, or your bathroom cabinet. Sort through items, decide what to keep, what to donate, and what to throw away. Decluttering helps create a more organized and serene environment, which can positively impact your mental well-being.

7. Rest

Finally, make sure to prioritize rest. After a week of hustle and bustle, your body and mind need time to unwind. Whether it’s taking a nap, meditating, or simply lounging on the couch, give yourself permission to rest without feeling guilty. Resting is crucial for restoring energy, improving mood, and maintaining overall health. Listen to your body and give it the relaxation it deserves.

By following this Saturday self-care agenda, you can create a balanced day of productivity and relaxation. Sleeping in a little, drinking plenty of water, deep conditioning your hair, shredding old mail, starting a new book, doing a little more decluttering, and resting are all simple yet effective ways to take care of yourself. Enjoy your Saturday and remember that self-care is not a luxury, but a necessity for a happy, healthy life. Your self care requirements are different from mine. Do what you need to refresh yourself. Have a great weekend!

10 Thought-Provoking Questions to Reflect On This Friday

As the week winds down and we welcome the weekend, Friday is a perfect day for reflection. Here are ten thought-provoking questions to ponder or use as journal prompts. Whether you’re seeking personal growth, clarity, or simply a moment of introspection, these questions can guide you on your journey. Self awareness and taking time to reflect has been my best friend. It allows me time to pause, examine my thoughts and feelings, thus being able to process and move on. Take some time to sit with each question, let your thoughts flow, and see where they lead you.

I had a day off this week, and I chose to do nothing before resuming my schedule.

4. What is one thing you learned this week?

Learning is a continuous process that enriches our lives. Reflect on something new you learned this week, whether it was a fact, a skill, or an insight about yourself. Human connections are vital for our emotional health. Think about the meaningful interactions you had this week. 8. What goals do you have for next week?

Setting goals provides direction and purpose. Take a few minutes to think about what you want to achieve next week. These goals can be related to your personal life, work, or any area of interest. Reflecting on your goals helps you stay focused and motivated. My goals for next week is to maintain my clean eating, go to the grocery store to ensure I have food after my dental treatment, and probably spend another family day at the pool.

9. How did you show kindness to others this week?

Acts of kindness have a positive impact on both the giver and the receiver. Reflect on the ways you showed kindness this week. Did you help someone in need, offer a compliment, or simply listen to a friend? Acknowledging your kindness can inspire you to continue spreading positivity. “I love your hair!” I said to a coworker. To my surprise she was relieved because she said it was a new haircut and she hadn’t got used to it yet. She replied, “ I’m glad you like it because I wasn’t so sure about it yet.”

10. What did you enjoy most about this week?

It’s important to recognize and celebrate the joyful moments in our lives. Think about the highlight of your week—something that brought you happiness or satisfaction. Reflecting on these moments helps you appreciate the beauty in everyday life and cultivates a sense of contentment. I had a full week. That’s my new “thing”. Did I have a full day or week? I had family time, rest time, alone time, was productive at work, and a thoughtful conversation with myself and one with my husband.

Taking time to reflect on these questions can provide valuable insights and help you appreciate the week that has passed. As you head into the weekend, let these reflections guide you in making the most of your time, fostering growth, and nurturing your well-being. Have a wonderful and reflective Friday!

Mindful Living: Embracing Self-Care as a Lifestyle Choice

In a world that often monetizes self-care as if it’s something you can buy, I’ve found it essential to be intentional about living purposefully. My self-care journey lately has focused on staying present, maintaining boundaries, and allowing myself to feel and learn.

quote sign standing on wooden shelf

Media Consumption with Purpose

I started by re-evaluating my media consumption. Instead of passively consuming content, I choose media that aligns with my personal growth goals. I prefer watching videos like “How I Overcame My Social Anxiety” over “The Daily Life of Living With Social Anxiety.” I follow a few therapists who offer valuable insights, and I’m currently engrossed in content about perimenopause and menopause. I also consume media about overconsumption, helping me to maintain a healthy lifestyle that promotes critical thinking, accountability, and growth.

Prioritizing Rest and Sleep

Sleep has become a cornerstone of my self-care routine. As I age, I realize the importance of allowing my body to recharge and my mind to rest. I’ve learned to stop trying to do everything in a day. When I feel mentally and emotionally drained, I start my wind-down routine, giving my mind and spirit the rest they need.

Healthy Eating and Physical Activity

Maintaining healthy eating habits and daily physical activity has kept me motivated. I focus on eating colorful foods, drinking plenty of water, and limiting sugar, salt, and caffeine. Pinterest has been a great resource for finding new recipes to keep my meals interesting. By nourishing my body and mind, I’m able to thrive daily, fight off toxins, and prevent diseases.

Decluttering and Simplifying

Another aspect of my self-care has been decluttering. Over the past few months, I’ve cleaned out closets, kitchen cabinets, junk drawers, and end tables. I used to love having photos and knick-knacks, but now, if I don’t use it daily, it doesn’t belong in my house. One Saturday, I even suggested to my husband that we sell our deep freezer because we no longer buy in bulk. Simplifying my environment has brought me clarity and peace. 6 MENTAL HEALTH REMINDERS FOR BAD DAYS

Embracing Peace and Letting Go

Ultimately, I’ve reached a point of peace by not taking things personally and learning to let go. I focus on experiences rather than material things, which has been incredibly freeing.

Processing Life’s Moments

An experience over Memorial Day weekend highlighted the importance of processing life’s moments. On our way back from a trip, we had a tire blowout 30 minutes into our drive home. It was dark, and we were on a two-lane highway. My husband changed the tire, and we made it home safely. Reflecting on this later, I realized how calmly we handled the situation. Whether it was my effort to stay composed or my instinct to assure our kids, we moved forward without letting it disrupt our peace. The next day, we simply bought a new tire.

While social media pushes for the latest trends and products, I encourage you to focus on your feelings and reactions to situations. What can you do to improve your well-being? Is what you’re consuming good for you, or is it reinforcing insecurities and fears?

By being intentional with your self-care, you can cultivate a lifestyle that promotes mindfulness, simplicity, and true well-being.

YOUR NORMAL IS GOOD ENOUGH

I heard this while watching the basketball game the other day and can’t get it out of my head. The reporter asked the coach what was the advice given to the players in the highly intense game. “Your normal is good enough.” You don’t have to do anything extra or different. Do what got you here. When you try to do things differently or switch your game up, you lose your authentic self. Those talents, gifts, knowledge, and experiences is what makes you great.

colorful dots around question text

Thinking about this, this also applies to this long game we’re all playing called life. However, for us, we only get one life. There isn’t another chance like those players have another game. So to understand that you’re normal, whatever it is, is good enough. ALL THE TIME!!!!!

As I adopt this mantra, your normal is good enough, I encourage you to explore your “normal”. What exactly does that mean to you and for you? It means embracing your authentic self. What you’re great at. What you have challenges with. The small things that makes you unique, quirky, different, and fun. It’s knowing how you show up is good enough and more than enough. Knowing your normal is good enough means you lose the idea of perfectionism. MARCH TO YOUR OWN RHYTHM

Along with losing the idea of perfectionism, it means sticking to your game plan. Don’t try to adopt anyone else’s game plan. Just because it works for them doesn’t mean it will fit into your scheme or your end goal. You can be encouraged and inspired to tap into your own and grow within yourself.

In the office, your relationships, and within yourself your normal is good enough. Do what you’re great at, ask for help when needed, and know that what you possess is good enough. No one on this planet will have it all, be it all, do it all, know it all , or even be able to attain it.

Each day do what you normally do and see how much better your mental health becomes. Your confidence will grow. Giving you the ability to become the person you envision. How much at ease you’ll feel. The need to please is released. Thus leaving room for growth and development. Acknowledging your normal is good enough doesn’t mean we don’t challenge ourselves to greater heights.

Embrace your imperfections, celebrate your uniqueness, and live your life authentically, because in the end, it’s the journey that matters most, not the destination.

CONSISTENCY: FINISH WHAT YOU STARTED

In a world that is forever changing with new technologies, trends, and aesthetics , it is very easy to lose patience, gratitude, and interest . No matter if you’re starting a business, blog, family, new career, savings, or self development journey you’ll need consistency, patience, and focus to finish out what you started. You never know how it could have been if you don’t see it through. This, I had to remind myself, that what we need and want is often right within our grasp – if only we pause, appreciate, and persevere.

stones on beach on sea shore

As I began to research, plan, and build my Etsy store, I had to pause and think I have everything I’m looking for in front of me. I haven’t been consistent on the blog, I’m still selling on Poshmark, and still a freelancer. Not to mention a mom of three teenagers and an husband. With great hesitation I put my Etsy store on pause. Whenever starting something new it takes great effort, time, and resources. Instead let’s harness the power of staying in the present and being consistent. What we need and desire might be right in front of us.

If you ask any millionaire or celebrity the key to their success, it’s always staying the course when you don’t have motivation, no one believes in you, you don’t see results, and keep doing even if you’re tired. Success is often a product of small, consistent actions accumulating over time. Will there be times you slip?! Absolutely. But the beauty is you get back up.

The satisfaction of completing a project or seeing something through should remain motivation enough to be consistent. Remember your why. Being able to recognize, own, and share your growth is invaluable. Finish what you started – the rewards extend beyond the immediate task.

When faced with obstacles, it’s tempting to abandon ship and chase new adventures. This I have to remember and tell myself when I don’t get views, a contract, or bad review. I remember my why. What my purpose is. Don’t give up too easily; every obstacle is an opportunity to refine your skills, resilience, and determination. MENTAL HEALTH REMINDER: TRUST YOURSELF

Sometimes, getting that instant gratification isn’t what we need or desire. Patience is a virtue, and trust in the process is paramount. When there is an obstacle, I know there is a lesson that I need to learn. It’s important to get that lesson before moving on and understanding the work that needs to be done. Instant success isn’t sustainable.

In the pursuit of our dreams and goals, it’s crucial to remember that success isn’t just about starting new ventures but about completing the ones we’ve already embarked upon. Let’s celebrate consistency, embrace the art of finishing, and trust that what we need and want is already in motion – we just need to stay the course.

GRATITUDE REALLY DOES WORK

After listening to many motivational videos, the one thing that was repeated consistently was exercising gratitude. No matter who was speaking or what they were speaking on, gratitude really does work and get you out of a funk instantly. This is something I had to work at and exercise in my daily life.

photograph of a person s hand holding a gift box

We get many examples of this in our daily life. There was a point of 2 months span, we had to get both our vehicles fixed. One vehicle we had to get fixed twice in one month. And the other vehicle once. Was it frustrating. ABSOLUTELY!!!! Did we have other plans we wanted to do. YUP. But I had to quickly remind my husband, let’s be grateful and thank God we had the ability and finances to get them fixed. Neither one of us had to miss work and we are still alive and breathing. What was supposed to happen, happened. How we respond is up to us. MENTAL HEALTH REMINDER: YOU CAN LOVE YOURSELF RIGHT NOW

But this thought of gratitude really working came to me when a woman, 92 years young, came to my office to have a thank you card published in the monthly newspaper. She had been in the hospital the previous week and she wanted to thank her family and friends for their well wishes, cards, visits, and prepped meals. However, repeatedly she kept saying how grateful she was to be alive. She really thought her time was up. She said being able to wake up in her home in her bed was the best gift God gave her to do again. All she wanted to do was give her thanks while she’s still here. https://amzn.to/41FE15S Lastly, the best part she said , “you know He really didn’t have to save me”.

I froze at my desk. Ros what do you have to complain about? I responded to myself quickly, nothing at all. I have a home with air conditioning. There are people sleeping on the streets in this hot summer heat. I have food to eat. Many families are going to shelters and Salvation Army’s to get meals. I have a job. My husband has a job. We have vehicles to get to work. Our health is good. Our kids smiled today. I had a drink of clean water. Most importantly I have the ability to pass this on.

So if you’re unhappy about your current situation or going through anything, look around, write down 10 things that you are grateful for. Remember every situation is temporary. Learn what you need. That’s how we grow. We are forced out of our comfort zones when we’re stubborn. Each day practice gratitude. In order to increase and reach our full capacity we must be grateful now so we can appreciate more later. Be well!!!!

3 SIMPLE SELF CARE TIPS THAT KEEPS ME SANE

Life is going to life!!!!! I can’t control that nor can I control time. As my life and family evolves on this rollercoaster ride, that I do enjoy, it didn’t take me long to realize I had to shift, adjust, and hold on while taking this ride. The biggest reason we get overwhelmed, burnout, and anxiety is because we want to keep the same routine that we’ve had the last 10 years.

notebook

It wasn’t easy, but I’ve had to adapt and reprioritize certain duties and aspects of my life. Here are a couple things that helps me keep my sanity.

Simple Self Care Tips

-Don’t worry about money. I know this sounds absolutely ridiculous considering the state of the economy. However, one of my favorite financial gurus “Lynn Richardson” said it best, you make what you make. Until you make more, you have to make the best use of what you have. It’s tough I know. But I have a firm belief no matter what happens I’m going to be ok. Why? Because God never failed me and never will. He’s kept my family and I and he will continue to. FINANCIAL MINDSET: WHICH ONE ARE YOU?

“Do the right thing and everything else will fall into place.”-

-Entertain or engage with those who have their mind made up. It is pointless and a waste of time to speak, have a conversation, or understanding with someone who has their mind made up. Some people are just bent on seeing it how they see it and not opened to another perspective or point of view. In those instances you just have to let them be ok with being closed off and know no matter what you say it won’t make a difference. Save yourself the headache. SELF CARE IS A LIFESTYLE

-Know my limits. After taking a break and coming to some understanding about myself, I know what I am capable of handling. Carrying all those bricks on your shoulders doesn’t get you a Nobel Peace Prize. It tears you down in more ways than one. At home I no longer clean until my back hurts for 3 days. Each day I set a one hour timer. Whatever I get done, that is it until the next day. At work, when I’ve been busy all day, I won’t keep going. I create a stopping point. What can wait til the next day will. That’s not only for my sanity but work output production as well.

Those are my top 3 simple self care tips that keeps me sane. I go through my days based on how I want to feel. Will it require much from me physically, mentally, or emotionally. Depending on what state I’m in, I make my decisions. I don’t want to over extend myself and everyone gets cheated in the process. Take care of you. We live in a world where everything is instant and it’s all about consuming more and more. Be patient and kind to yourself .

5 BEAUTY TIPS TO REMEMBER THIS FALL

We are a couple weeks shy of fall beginning. However, if you look around, the market has already begun transitioning to the new season. We see fall decor in the stores, clothing racks look fuller with the jackets and sweaters, and Halloween candy is out. Along with that, you’ll see the transition in beauty routine products hitting the shelves. As a beauty junkie myself, I look forward to it as well. But there are some beauty tips to keep in mind as you begin to consume and transition to the heavier creams.

photo of women doing their skincare
  1. Everyone gets, has, or will get wrinkles and fine lines. They are normal. We are supposed to age. Yes, you can support and assist aging with creams and serums. But let your wrinkles and fine lines show through. It shows you have some wisdom to offer.
  2. Texture is normal. No one has glass skin. There isn’t a such thing as perfect skin or flawless skin. I don’t care what your age is. There isn’t a product that can get rid of texture. Can a product minimize and help, absolutely. Remember there are filters out there.
  3. Your skin routine doesn’t have to be 10 steps. That’s time and money spent on too many products. Use what works for you. As long as you get results, then it’s perfect for you. Some can get away with a cleanser and moisturizer. Other’s may need to add a target treatment. Either way, it doesn’t take 10 steps. Me personally, I question if those many products are really penetrating the skin and being effective. But who am I.

  5. Keep it simple. Don’t over complicate your routine. Look and feel your skin, see what it needs and go from there. Too many products with active ingredients isn’t good. Gear your routine to fit your lifestyle and budget.
