10 WAYS TO LIVE HAPPIER

Happiness is a choice and journey. Therefore there are many ways we can live more happier. Here is a list of 10 things you can do to live happier. KEY TO HAPPINESS: DO WHATEVER YOU WANT TO DO

10 Ways to Live Happier

  1. Stop Overthinking.
We all are guilty of this. Over thinking is rehashing the past or certain situations that we wish would have went differently, or have anxiety about a situation coming up. Overthinking stops us from recognizing our blessings, talents, and gifts that we do have. Thus halting our happiness.
  2. Take a risk.
Most of the time we are unhappy because the one thing that we want to do, fear has trapped us from doing. When you ask an older person the one thing they regret, most of the time it’s not taking a risk on something. No matter what it is, take a risk. You never know what direction your life will turn.
  3. Run Towards What Makes You Happy.
Whatever that one thing is that makes you happy and feel the most alive, don’t stop feeding it. Don’t let other’s opinions stop you. The lack of money. Fear of rejection. That one thing that keeps your heart fluttering will lead you down your path of true happiness.
  4. Create Memories.
Have fun and let lose. It’s ok to poke fun of yourself, not be serious, and laugh. Take pictures, document, and create memories. It doesn’t have to be on a holiday, it could be any day of the year. Give yourself something to look back on.
  5. Reinvent Yourself.
You don’t have to stay the same or do the same thing. You are supposed to grow and evolve. Change your look, the way you dress, redecorate you home, and work station. A new perspective instantly boosts confidence, self esteem, and happiness.
  6. Learn From the Setback.
Don’t run from rejection, setbacks, and mistakes. SETBACKS, REJECTIONS, AND STUMBLING BLOCKS ARE NECESSARY FOR GROWTH Those moments are when we’re supposed to be open minded the most. Each ”negative” is teaching us an essential piece of wisdom needed to move forward. Embrace them and grow through them.
  7. Invest in Yourself.
You are the constant in your life. Invest in yourself often. Be the best you and invest in your appearance. So when you go out, to wherever, you look good and feel good. Invest in your career, home, family, life, and health. You matter as well as your happiness.
  8. Be comfortable now.
Yes we want more, and want to grow. But be comfortable with what you have now. Accept, love, and cherish the now so when greater come you’re able to value it like you should. When it’s time for us to have more, that blessing will come. Until then, show God you’re grateful for what he has given you so far.
  9. Give Back.
No matter what your family situation is, give back. Whatever your financial situations is, give back. If you’re not feeling great, give back. The love, compassion, empathy, time, and money we give can save someone’s life. In return when we show support our mood and spirits are filled with gratitude. In result, more happiness.
  10. Enjoy family and friends.
Unfortunately, there are people who still think they can live in this world alone. Even when the relationships aren’t the best, take the good and leave the rest. We all need community support.

Those are 10 things that makes us live more happier. Start here, be consistent, and watch your happiness grow. Enjoy the journey and healing process.

Be well on your journey.

WEEKLY BLOG: FOURTH OF JULY CELEBRATION, AUNT VISIT AGAIN, & LOCAL FESTIVITIES

After the last couple weeks being completely quiet and uneventful, I’m back to a full schedule this week. We completely enjoyed not having anything going on except work. Even that has been extremely slow.

blur bright celebrate celebration

Sunday: Happy Fourth of July!!!!!!! We decided this year to enjoy the local festivities and get out. After taking my oldest son to work we’re headed downtown to the fourth of July celebration. It’s basically a festival with games, food, soundstages, live music, rides, and more. Also this evening we’ll stay for the parade. Although it is scorching out, we are very excited to do something different. A few hours later….we are sprinting to the shower because we all are hot sweaty and sticky. My mom even joined us out and it was a great time. After showering we relaxed and stayed in for the night.

Monday: Happy Fourth of July (again). Today is the actual holiday and we’re going to head back out downtown again so my oldest son can enjoy himself. Unfortunately, it’s too hot for mom so she’ll stay back until this evening when we go see the fireworks show. The kids enjoyed rides, funnel cake, nachos, lemonade and all the vendors. Surprisingly today, was a little different. There were much more vendors, games, and rides out today. As we were walking, we found a kid zone area with a petting zoo. We all enjoyed ourselves once again and glad we decided to come out. Later on we went to shower, grab some dinner, and head out to meet mom for the fireworks show.

Tuesday: Back to work. But first, I have to make a stop and drop off some packages to the post office. To my surprise work was quiet and slow. The temps out are approaching 110 and the plan is to stay inside where it’s cool. Tried going to the pool, but even the pool water is warm. After work, I had time to publish HOW TO PAMPER YOURSELF AT HOME ON A BUDGET. In addition to finishing up a couple loads of laundry, fixing a quick dinner, and tidying up a bit. Later on I decided to go ahead and workout. The rest of the evening we spent relaxing and making brownies until my son got off at 11p.m.

Wednesday: My aunt is coming to visit us again for a while. WEEKLY BLOG: NEW PERFUME, DETOX, & VISIT FROM AUNT So today I’ll have a quick day at work until it’s time to pick her up from the airport. It’s perfect timing because I don’t have much on my schedule at work. Few hours later…we are at my moms catching up. The kids did their weekly chores and clean up at their granny house. Next, we decided to make a store run and then I went home to clean, do laundry, change linen, and deep condition my hair. With it being so hot out I have to do it a couple times a week now. Finally, I was able to head off to bed.

Thursday: I’m feeling blah this morning. I didn’t sleep good at all last night. I know I went to bed late after cleaning and working. But, I thought that would tire me out and put me to sleep. None the less, I’m ready for the day. After work this evening we have a parent meeting for my son who was nominated to be a safety kid for next school year. Later on after an hour and half meeting we went for ice cream. The meeting was very informative, exciting, and fun for the kids. This safety kids thing is much more than I thought it was, but I’m excited for my son.

Friday: I’m anxious this morning because I have a meeting and I’ve been waiting for this opportunity for a while. I know work is going to be great because it’s only 2 of us all day and we’ve been slow all week. Well…my meeting went better than great. I’m really excited for this new opportunity and I’m happy with how I presented myself. Later on in the evening we went to this event downtown called the ”Ice Cream Splash”. It was another good evening of live music, all you can eat ice cream, games, and prizes for the kids. 5 SIMPLE AND EASY HEALTHY TIPS FOR SUMMER It was even better because the weather was bearable.

Saturday: It’s a very chill morning. A little gloomy out, but I decided to get up early and run a couple of errands. My son has to work this afternoon into evening so we’re going to stay close to home and relax. I have a couple things on my to do list and get ready for another week. WEEKEND SELF CARE TO DO LIST Also a couple of task to complete for this new venture I’m going to start and then I think I’m done for the day. Later in the evening, I was able to do some work, write post, from all the notes I took earlier in the week at work.

Have a great week!!!!

10 LITTLE THINGS THAT MAKE ME HAPPY

One of the best ways to get out of a rut is to remember how blessed you are, express gratitude, and take inventory of what you already have. The best way to do this is to make a list. Start off with the small things that makes you happy. The tangible physical things, to get you going.

It’s the little things that makes you happy. We’ve all said this at some point or heard it many times in life. Why? Because it’s true. It’s not that trip to Disney that makes you happy. It’s the little memories, moments, and experiences that add up from the trip that makes it special.

Take a moment to look around and list all the small things that make you happy. Nothing can be too small. The little things that helps you get through the day, that make you laugh, feel comfortable, feel good about yourself, and you can’t stop grabbing or doing.

Here are 10 little things that makes me happy:

  1. My leopard print phone case (https://amzn.to/3ba272E)
  2. My leopard print pen I write with at work (https://amzn.to/3MXVP3m)
  3. My reusable Starbucks cup (https://amzn.to/3b78zYf)
  4. Coffee mug I drink out of every morning
  5. Dove Glow Body Wash (https://amzn.to/3xqQWtO)
  6. Dr. Teals Coconut Toner (https://amzn.to/3mYKk0Z)
  7. My daily walk
  8. Rose Quartz Beaded Bracelet (https://amzn.to/3mTuAfJ)
  9. Listening to music
  10. Watching TV with my husband

Those are 10 little things I use everyday that make me happy or I do that makes me happy. I wanted to do something a little different than the usual. KEY TO HAPPINESS: DO WHATEVER YOU WANT TO DO Drinking water, waking up, seeing the sun shine, going to work, having a job, having a car, having food to eat, family and friends that love me, and so on. It’s a no brainer that all those makes us happy and helps our mental wellness. But it’s good to recognize and appreciate what we have in other areas that makes us happy as well.

So often we always want more or look to have more. But our happiness is right in our face if we look. It’s those small things that we don’t even blink an eye at that gives us happiness. The little things that you grab without thinking or you do without thinking on a daily.

Have a great day everyone!!!!!

QUICK FINANCIAL WELLNESS TIP

I don’t know who need to hear this but you can’t solve money problems with money. A quick wellness tip for you on this Wednesday, is to stop trying to figure out how to get more or make more. The more money you make, the more bills you have, the more debt you’ll have.

person counting cash money

Yes, the world seems to have taken us all by storm, again. But to stay ahead and get ahead you must change some daily habits. First is changing or shifting how you feel about money. What is your relationship with money? Secondly, look at your daily spending. Is it necessities or wants? What can you do to cut back? Have you been budgeting? When was the last time you tracked your spending. https://amzn.to/3mQ1uh7

To be honest, you’ve probably been working overtime to make ends meet, has it worked for you? Or have you found yourself in the same spot that you were in last pay period? Meal planning, grocery planning, car pooling, and daily household planning are good beginning steps to begin your financial wellness journey. Also, playing catch up is never a good idea. If it’s food items, cleaning products, hygiene products, or even gas, not letting it run too low or get empty is key to keeping your nose above water. Money Jar Saving Method for easy saving

I know this is extremely difficult. Milk is even out of budget. Think about meals that can last for two days or have leftovers that you can cook. Make a plan to only go to the store once a week or every two weeks depending on your budget and family needs. That will save on gas. In return, the less trips to the store, the less you spend. Google events and activities in your area to go to for free. You and your family can still have fun and enjoy life.

I know this is a difficult time. But just as with anything else, this is only temporary. Making the choice to tackle it and be proactive instead of reactive will help ease stress and pressure. Start with tracking your daily activities, what’s coming in and going out, and then create a plan. “If you fail to plan then you plan to fail.” #healthiswealth #financialwellness

Have a great day everyone!!!!!

LIFE DOESN’T HAPPEN TO US…IT’S HOW WE PLAY THE CARDS WE’RE DEALT

Being blessed to have a life to live isn’t a bad thing. It’s how we play the cards in our hand at the time. God didn’t put us here to be miserable, sad, angry, or depressed. He placed us here to do His work. We all have a mission from Him to complete. 7 JOURNAL PROMPTS FOR A GOOD WEEK

close up shot of scrabble tiles on a white surface

Ok, so it seems like every hand that you’ve been dealt has been bad and you can’t make anything out of them. Well maybe we need to figure out the lesson in what God is trying to tell us. If what you’ve been praying for hasn’t changed, maybe God isn’t changing the situation because there is a lesson there you need to learn before he can move you forward.

Simply changing our attitude toward a situation, person, or even money can help propel us forward. Switching or adjusting your perspective can help you see a little more clear. So those cards that you can’t do anything with, change your perspective and attitude about. Switch them around in your hand, take a risk, and play them differently than last time.

How we handle the bumps in the road, will determine where we go, how far we go, and if we go. If faced with the same bump twice, don’t go over it the same as you did last time. Take a different route. Choose a different speed. Switch the avenue in which you decide to get over the bump. Also not everything that ”happens” to us, is for us to tackle. Check out this book ”Living A Loved Lifehttps://amzn.to/3zwQ0GO that is filled with inspiration and motivation to help us tackle this thing called life.

Life doesn’t happen to us, but it’s how we play the cards that are dealt. Remember no two hands will ever be same. We will have challenges and situations that occur that we don’t like, but it’s about learning, adjusting, and conquering. The challenges we face are there to teach us, motivate us, and prepare us for the next. It’s up to us to listen and learn.

As you prepare for the week ahead, remember to stay calm, don’t respond or react emotionally, and allow yourself to have a moment. Rely on your meditation, journaling, routines, exercise, and community for support. #SundayFunday

Have a great week everyone!!!!!!!

5 SIMPLE AND EASY HEALTHY TIPS FOR SUMMER

The weather has drastically shifted and it seems summer has began early. Here are 5 simple and easy healthy tips we all can use this summer.

gray and black dslr camera beside sun hat and sunglasses
  1. WALKING OUTDOORS
Of course, everyone knows this is my favorite activity. Walking outdoors in the summer time allows you to get some natural vitamin D that we all need to stay healthy. Using the natural sunlight always gives a good natural tan that we look for. Because of the heat and sun, we sweat more than normal, which means toxins are being released from our bodies. It will give you energy, great mental clarity, and an excellent source of emotional healing. Walking is a great self care activity for every area of your life.
  2. STAY HYDRATED
With temperatures high and the humidity making you feel like you’re suffocating, hydration is essential. Making a pitcher of cucumber lemon water is a great way to ensure you have something refreshing at any moment of the day. DIY Cucumber Lemon Water GREAT REFRESHER There are a ton of water infused recipes out there you can try. The more variety you add, the more vitamins and nutrients you are putting in your body naturally. Staying hydrating also includes your hair, skin, and body. Yes, I know it’s hot but keeping lightly moisturized ensures the elements outside doesn’t damage your skin. Opting for water gel moisturizers for your skin is best. They sink into the skin without being heavy or greasy. In shower body moisturizers are my go to for summer months. Finally, a light hair lotion that doesn’t weigh your hair down is a great option to keeping your hair protected.
  3. EAT WITH COLOR
The more colors you add to your diet the better. In the summer a great healthy tip is to add as much colors to your meals as possible. Fresh green salads, pasta salads, and fruit salads are a great way to add color. We have an array of content and recipes to pull from to add variety. Incorporate many different varieties of fruit smoothies into your diet. All options allows you to eat fresh, light, and healthy. In return, maintaining a good balance with the walking outdoors.
  4. ENJOY LOCAL FESTIVITIES AND ACTIVITIES
Much has changed in the last two years. Therefore, finding new ways to entertain and enjoy family time has to get creative. No matter where you live, how large or small of city you live in, there are a ton of activities each week and weekend over the summer. It’s not so much about the event but about enjoying your time, having great conversation, and communing with others. Just getting out trying events and activities that you wouldn’t necessarily do, breaks you out of your comfort zone. You begin to meet new people. Thus opening and expanding your network.
  5. SUNSCREEN
It wouldn’t be a great summer tip without using sunscreen. We are going to be out more than normal, so protect yourself by applying sunscreen. There are sunscreens available for hair, skin, and everything in between. We still have an obligation to protect ourselves from the elements. Lotions, sprays, and sunscreen sticks are available to us at affordable prices. Be mindful and protect yourself this summer.

Have a great, happy, and healthy summer!!!!!!!

WEEKLY BLOG: ORDINARY QUIET WEEK

Looking ahead this week we don’t have much going on. It’s another one of those weeks where we can relax, catch up on cleaning, and resting.

notebook with inscription near cup of coffee on crumpled fabric

Sunday: Very full day. I was able to sleep in, have a great family breakfast, do laundry, and get many listings posted on Poshmark. Later in the after noon, we had an amazing Sunday dinner. The day went so well, I was able to go out and enjoy the cool breeze on a nice walk in the early evening. It was a great day and night to cap a great weekend. Again my husband and I were able to say, we had a full productive weekend. Isn’t that what life is all about. Living life each day, some will be good, some will be bad, but we’ll get through it all.

Monday: Cold, rainy, and dark. We getting ready for another round of storms, starting today. But we’re still headed off to a great day. The kids are starting their testing and end of year courses today. So they aren’t as eager to head off. Work is going amazing and I’ve been trying to stay a little later than normal to help out the new agent. She’s still getting comfortable and feeling her way. Later in the evening, after a workout, I found myself doing some laundry before heading to bed. WEEKLY BLOG: TYPICAL WORK WEEK

Tuesday: Nice break from the rain but it feels like a fall day out. I can tell we’re about to have some strong storms. Quiet peaceful day at work. I’ve been able to use my time wisely in getting work done and researching other ventures. However, I was able to get BEING A MOM INSPIRES ME posted. After work we were able to get my moms trash done and some cleaning up at her house. The kids have been tired due to testing and I can tell they are mentally over this year. I had a very good day of managing some listings and contracts. It could be because of the weather but I was ready to hit the sack very early this evening.

Wednesday: Great morning even though it’s still gloomy out. We don’t have too much going on this week really. Which is a nice break. Always having ”stuff” to do or a full schedule can be mentally draining. Because work at the office was slow, I was able to get plenty of ideas written down. Just putting my thoughts to paper has been helpful and allowing me to sort ideas out. In the evening, we all was somber due to the storms out. However, I was able to get in a good workout before relaxing for the rest of the evening. My husband and I have been binge watching some shows on HULU and they are great. ”The Act” and ”The Thing About Pam” were great originals.

black typewriter machine typing on white printer paper

Thursday: Another gloomy and rainy morning. All the kids have testing today. Everyone is ready to go and get this testing week over with. Heading into the office I plan to use the slow time again to do some brainstorming and research. Not much planned for the rest of the day besides relaxing. We have a few plans for the weekend so after work tomorrow I’ll do a good clean to have the house ready.

Friday: Finally it’s the weekend. We all were worn out and tired. We look ahead to great summer like temperatures to start the week off. We’re winding down to the last couple days of the year and I feel like I’m more ready than the kids. We have some plans for tomorrow so after work I’m going to do a grocery run and clean the house.

Saturday: We had to be up and out by 9a.m. to get to the stadium. It started off cool but quickly temps rose and we were warm out. The kids had an amazing time at the Olympics. Every year at the end, the school district puts on this Olympic type event with all the schools competing. It’s a great family, fun, friendly event. After hours of being out there we headed to my moms for a couple of hours. Lastly we were worn out from the sun and headed home to relax.

Have a great week!!!!!

WEEKLY BLOG: SPRING FORWARD, SICK DAY, & LOTS OF WALKING

This week I just wanted to enjoy the spring weather. All week the forecast is in the upper 70’s and on a couple of days we shall approach the 80 mark. My plan is to be outside as much as possible.

Sunday: Oh, I lost an hour of sleep. But spring is finally here and the sun is shining bright. I decided to go for a walk early afternoon to enjoy the weather. Boy, was it beautiful with a nice breeze. I was able to pray, meditate, and cleanse my mental. It felt amazing. Afterwards we had a great lunch and I did some editing. WEEKLY BLOG: NEW PERFUME, DETOX, & VISIT FROM AUNT. Later that evening we relaxed, watched a ton of college basketball, and enjoyed a great evening at my moms with her and my aunt.

Monday: Great start to the week and good morning. The sun is beautiful and the weather makes me want to stay home and go outside. However, work needs to be done. Had a great day at the office not too busy for a Monday. But was able to get some work done. The only thing on my agenda is to go for a walk as soon as possible because this 70ish degree weather feels great. Later in the evening the kids decided to lay around and thats when I took the chance to go out for a walk. It’s always nice to go out after work and commuting all day. This is my best form of therapy. I literally escaped and felt 10lbs lighter mentally and emotionally.

Tuesday: Ok, I think the time change and springing forward has began to bother me. Usually in the morning I’m not too draggy. But I have realized in the last couple of days, I’ve been a little sluggish to get up. Hopefully my continual detox, walking, and night routine Self Care: Sleep Routine helps me get back on track. However, I was feeling in the spirit after watching a great Joel Osteen sermon on Youtube. Work was the usual but I was able to get in some great note taking, brainstorming ideas, and some good reads. Later that evening, of course I went out. But this walk was special because I asked my daughter to go and she eagerly agreed to my surprise. It was a great time being able to connect and talk to her while we walked.

Wednesday: This morning started great. I usually do the morning drop off with all three kids. However, my son asked dad to go so he decided to go in late to work to give my son his request. Afterwards we decided to have breakfast at our favorite cafe before heading to work. This set up for a great rest of the day. I’ve learned when moments come, take them and enjoy them. Later on, we had an early dinner and the hubs and I decided to go out together. I love spending time with him and walking. Furthermore, we get to talk and have great conversation without the kids around. Lastly, I had to order my mom a new phone because I do take care of certain things for her.

Thursday: We had a horrible night and morning. So my youngest son, was up every two hours because he couldn’t breathe, sneezing, and sniffles. Well it was only allergies flaring up. He’d been outside all week so far and this is typical at this time of year. But because he didn’t get sleep, nor did I, we just stayed home and recouped. Of course, I always use this time to catch up on editing, writing, and contracts. All while doing things around the house. Throughout the day he progressively got better. My oldest son was having allergy flare ups as well, but he opted to go to school and tough it out. The evening was capped early. After walking, I got a cup of tea DIY…Starbucks Medicine Ball and turned it in.

Friday: T.G.I.F. TGIF: SELF CARE IS ALL AROUND YOU This day started great. Not as warm as previous days but still spring is in the air. My agenda for today was to clean and get some things done because we have plans for the weekend. As always the kids are happy it’s the weekend. They had testing this week so they wanted to order takeout and relax the rest of the evening. Naturally we didn’t want what the kids chose. So we, instead had an early date night and that was lovely. We enjoyed ourselves and the restaurant. The temps had dropped a little so I was ready to go home and binge watch T.V. under a throw. Because I had walked every day, I decided to give my body a break, take the evening off, and relax.

Saturday: My mom phone arrived. However, her phone case hasn’t yet. The last phone she dropped and it broke, so she’ll get the new phone with case in hand. We have plans to go to a basketball tournament later, so I went out for a walk early. It was beautiful and breezy out. Late afternoon, we decided to head to the tournament early so we could see several games. Once we purchased tickets, we could watch as many games as we wanted. But first, my youngest son didn’t want to go, so we dropped him off with grandma and my aunt. The games were very exciting, the kids played great, and we enjoyed ourselves. Afterwards, we had a great time at dinner. In the end we picked up my son, and turned in.

That was my full productive week. I had time with myself, my family, and went out with my husband, and enjoyed some fun activities, and worked. Some weeks I don’t balance it well and others I do amazing. But that is balancing everyday life. No two days will ever be the same, nor do I want them to. That would be boring. Embracing each day as it comes keeps me on my toes, challenges me, and breaks me out my comfort zone.

Have a great week.

WEEKLY BLOG: NEW PERFUME, DETOX, & VISIT FROM AUNT

This week the only thing on my mind is to detox my body and cleanse it out. I decided to eat Gumbo, it just didn’t sit well with my body. Water, lots of it, fish and veggies was the only thing on my diet this week.

Sunday: Woke up early to a very nice sunshine coming through the window. Instantly puts me in a good mood and ready to have a great day. The only thing on the agenda was braiding my daughters hair. She has very long and thick hair. It usually takes me two and half hours to do. The day started with breakfast as usual, no cafe coffee run. We opted to make our own at home. Then, of course, I dump a load of laundry in the washer. Next, about mid afternoon, I started my daughters hair which took me to early evening. Because my back usually hurts quite a bit when I finish her hair, I relax the rest of the time. So dinner (Gumbo) was already done and all I had to do was reheat it. I showered and binged watch ”Our Kind of People” the rest of the night.

Monday: So I woke up to a horrible stomach ache. This wasn’t your usual stomach ache that says you need to go to the bathroom. I was literally bent over holding my stomach at 5a.m. I tried to walk around, drink water, and go to the bathroom but it wasn’t getting any better. I pushed through and started my morning routine in getting the kids up and breakfast started. I wasn’t going to call in so I just pushed through. Very slow and quiet day at the office so I left early and went to the store to get everything I needed for a cleanse. Water, veggies, fish, and nighttime tea was the only thing on the menu for me all week. Later in the evening, I went for a walk and relaxed. To help me stay on track I’ve been using this water bottle https://amzn.to/3aVi78F that my daughter picked out to keep me motivated.

Tuesday: Still feeling a little blah, but making it. The water keeps me in the bathroom, but it feels good to flush my system out. DIY Cucumber Lemon Water GREAT REFRESHER After thinking about it, I think the Gumbo had too much salt in it. My body just didn’t react well. I usually keep a low sodium diet. Thank goodness the office was quiet and I was able to catch up on some work. We are preparing for my aunt to visit us for a while on Saturday. The evening we spent relaxing getting ready for a short day tomorrow.

Wednesday: Short day for all of us. The kids have a half day so I naturally will as well. I’m feeling better but sticking to my cleanse and low calorie diet. After getting home early, I decided to do a quick mid week cleanup. As a family of five, it gets cluttered quickly with everyone going to school and working. Once again, we are preparing for snow days ahead at the end of the week. So now, we’re all on stand by because we don’t know the expectations. Later in the evening, I enjoyed a workout, working on some contracts, and proposals.

Thursday: Snowing as we awake. But the kids still have school. However, by mid afternoon it tapered off. It was a very quiet day at the office. I was able to get a lot of notes, ideas, and proposals done. The snow is expected to pick up in the evening and continue on to the night. I decided to do a store run just in case we get snowed in again. As of the evening around 7p.m. the snow began but to our knowledge school wasn’t cancelled. So we went on with our evening as if everyone had to get up in the morning.

Friday: I am feeling much better. Received a call at 5:30a.m. from the school saying the day was cancelled. Of course the kids were happy, but I still had to make it to the office. Thankfully, we didn’t get what was expected. I was able to drive to work with no problem and had a quiet successful day at the office. My husband decided to leave work to stay home with the kids. It was still kind of cold, so we decided to stay in for the night.

Saturday: My new perfume is expected to arrive. I ordered me a new perfume (Calvin Klein Sheer Beauty) because I just wanted to and my Tom Ford Velvet Orchid finally ran out. At the moment perfume, is one of my favorite self care things I do to make myself feel good. The morning started great with breakfast. I am finally feeling like myself. Relaxed and watched tournaments of basketball because March Madness is approaching. Then I had this itch to clean. But first, I went to the store and stocked up on supplies and new oil diffusers. My aunt finally made it and it’s always fun when she visits. Later on we went out to dinner and then had ice cream again.

Have a great week everyone!!!!

WEEKLY BLOG: FEELS LIKE SPRING

It’s the end of February and I know March is around the corner. We’re expecting very warm spring like temps this week. So my mind, subconscious, and body is ready for spring.

Sunday: It’s bright and sunny early. The temps are already on a rise and the first thing I did was open the blinds to let some sunshine in. Had a huge breakfast with the family instead of going to the cafe. After that I began laundry as usual. There is just something in me, that can’t not do anything. Even if its running the washer, dishwasher, or vacuum. At the end of the day I have to feel productive. I’m working on it. But we ended up couch sitting and watched the highly talked about documentary ”The Tinder Swindler.” Later on in the evening, we got ready for the week and enjoyed our evening relaxing.

Monday: Oh was it rough getting the kids up early back in school mode. But the morning went on without a hitch. It’s feeling like spring as I wake up and realize, it’s brighter than normal. After dropping the kids off at school, I had a great moment to myself drinking coffee and brainstorming ideas. Listened to some really great inspirational videos before heading off to work. OMG!!! Work was busy. But it felt good though after being quiet for quite some time. While having a great warm sunny spring like temp day, I enjoyed the evening with a walk outside. It felt amazing. The smell, sounds, trees, and wind was very therapeutic.

Tuesday: Great start to the morning. Experimented with my breakfast by adding some protein waffles with my eggs and bacon. HEALTHY LIFESTYLE: 5 SIMPLE AND QUICK BREAKFAST IDEAS They turned out really good. After my husband thought they wouldn’t be very tasty. Another very busy day at work. It seemed as if the phone wouldn’t stop ringing. But a busy day, makes the time go by faster.

Wednesday: It’s still very spring like out and I’m enjoying every bit of it. Once again it was a little busy at the office. This is always expected this time of year, but the clients have been a little testing. Testing my patience. But I get through it with a smile. Starting today the tail end of the week is going to busy because it’s spirit week at my son school and he’s participating everyday. Tonight it’s karaoke and power puff football. It made for a great evening with the spring like weather. It was good to get out and see the kids have fun.

Thursday: Spring is still in the air with the sunshine. The office was back to quiet as normal. Later in the evening I had to run errands and exchange some shoes for my son. Of course, the kids didn’t want to hang out. Instead chose to stay home. However, that left for me and the hubs to have an impromptu ice cream date at Cold Stone Creamery. We hadn’t been there for years and it was delicious. It felt good to be able to sit out and have a moment while enjoying ice cream. WEEKLY BLOG: CALM AND STILLNESS

Friday: Busy start of the day. As my daughter has art club meeting early in the morning. Getting started early and out was great. I had to stay late at work but it wasn’t too crazy. The clients actually behaved. Later on my son went to the talent show at his school while the rest of us went to Dairy Queen for blizzards. My daughter was kind of bummed out because she wanted to go, but it was for the kids in his school only. I must say, it felt so wierd just having two kids. As a mom I felt like I was missing something. Later that night, we picked him up, he had a great time, and enjoyed being home.

Saturday: I didn’t personally have too much planned. But my son was going to hang out with his friends before the dance later on in the evening. So naturally, I left my schedule and to do list, empty because I knew I was in chauffeur mode all day. I didn’t mind and was excited, because he is on the spectrum and breaking out of his shell.

Well that was my week. Hope you all had a great week.
