Your wellness is fit for you. The wellbeing of your mental, emotional, and physical state is tailored just for you. How you go about, your self care is completely YOU. If you choose to change, switch, increase, or decrease anything, that is for your wellness journey.

W-Willing to do, think, or try anything different to better yourself. The willingness to forgive yourself. Giving yourself permission to be a better version of yourself, comes from having your WILL. You can be given all the tools needed to succeed and be better, but the willingness come from you.

E-Embrace your greatness. You may not think so or believe it, but you have some greatness in you. Tap into your gifts, skills, and talents. Let them lead and guide you to your destiny. Your wellness is fit for you when you live freely with the gifts God has given you.

L-Love and like your flaws. We love to highlight our best assets. But, it is equally important to love and highlight our flaws. Because guess what, everyone on planet earth has a flaw. No matter what it is or how it shows up, embrace every ounce of you.

L-Lead each day with positivity. Wake up knowing and expecting nothing but goodness. Attempt to find the good, even in the worst situations. There isn’t a life where we won’t have hiccups, but trust yourself to handle it.

N-Nutrition is essential to your wellness. Your nutritional lifestyle is fit for you. However, ensure you are being good to the only body you are going to have. It is our temple. What we put into our bodies comes out in every form.

E-Effectively communicate. Be clear about what your expectations are. Leave no room for assumptions. Thats often how misunderstandings take place. We are quick to outline what we don’t want, but make sure to know what you do want. Your wellness is fit for you, so don’t minimize yourself to make someone else feel comfortable. SELF CARE: WHAT’S YOUR MOTIVATION

S-Splurge on yourself once in a while. It’s perfectly ok, to treat yourself. Make yourself feel good before anyone else does. We all have guilty pleasures and things we want. You don’t have to wait for anyone to give your permission or to provide you with anything. Pat your own self on the back. Self affirmations.

S-Success is different for everyone. Your idea of success looks different from mine. Success looks different in families, relationships, and coworkers. We all want to be successful, in our own way and right. That is perfectly fine. Define your idea of success and make it happen.

Once we focus on ourselves and make an outline to where we’re going, clarity will arise. Our wellbeing isn’t going to mimic anyone else’s path or journey. We can be inspired and motivated by another’s journey, but our wellness is fit for us.

I for so long contributed to others blogs and guest posted. I had this longing desire to launch my own, in an attempt to inspire, encourage, motivate, and share. If I’ve done so to one person, then I’m ok. REMEMBERING WHY I BLOG, Motivation I hope to continue to grow and learn. Courage, confidence, and patience is something that is worked on and through.

This process has taught me a lot about myself. It has helped me communicate better, understand others more in depth, and boosts my self awareness.

If there is anyone out there who has a dream and think its out of reach or no one will support, just give it a try. The dream and desire was placed in your heart and no one else’s. OK, so everyone knows I’m a coffee drinker. I’ve made my life simple with my DIY non dairy iced coffee. It saves me money from going to the coffee shop everyday. Also know matter what coffee shop I went to, I wasn’t able to get a cup of coffee to my liking.

This DIY non dairy iced coffee I keep simple. No, I do not make my own coffee. However, I purchase Starbucks Iced Coffee in Dark Roast Unsweetened. DIY…Starbucks Medicine Ball Purchasing a bottle of this is a little under $5. But I can get a weeks worth of iced coffee at home if my husband and I drink it everyday. Sometimes this bottle lasts me longer, which means I save money. Handle Your Business…Get Your Finances Together Because going to a coffee shop you’re going to spend at least $5 on one drink.

Now to make my simple non dairy iced coffee I add a couple drops of my Torani Sugar Free Classic Caramel Syrup. Then add 1 cup of the Starbucks Dark Roast Unsweetened Iced Coffee. Lastly, I add about a tablespoon or so of Silk Dairy Free Almond Creamer. Currently I’m using the Toasted Hazelnut flavor. Many times I will switch up flavors. I like mine a little on the dark side. So you can add as little or more to your liking.

Once I add my ice and stir, I’m ready to sip away. Finally, I am able to enjoy some iced coffee at home that’s to my liking, its non dairy, and I’m saving money. I can have a glass and its made to my perfection every time.

Are you getting bored and tired of the same ole thing or want to save money? Try doing some DIY to your favorite recipes. DIY anything is a great way to get our minds flowing in different directions. Also, opening our hearts to new things. The end result in giving yourself confidence and the courage to continue to step outside your comfort zone and learn new things. Have fun trying different ingredients until you perfect your dish or drink. It’s a win win, you save money, enjoy your recipe every time, and you’ve tried something new.

I’m back at it again. Rotating some oldie but goodie and affordable beauty products I’m loving right now is my thing. These are some products that I’ve decided to give another try. Also there are some that I picked up on a whim because they were on sale. 5 THINGS I’M LOVING RIGHT NOW

Freeman Deep Clearing Manuka Honey & Tea Tree Oil Clay Mask +Cleanser.
This is my first time trying this cleanser/mask and its AMAZING!!!!!! I picked it up for $3.99 and its worth the price of a luxury beauty mask. My preference is to use it as a mask at least 3x a week. I apply it to clean damp skin and let it set for about 15 minutes. Upon rinsing with warm water my skin is soft, pore less, blemish free, breakout free, and hydrated. If you are wanting a cleanser that is a 2-n-1, helps with breakouts, dryness, clogged pores, texture, or blemishes, give this a try.

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Exfoliating Cleanser
This is my second time trying this exfoliating cleanser. I must say I’ve been successful this go around. Before when I purchased it, I had experienced dryness and burning of the eyes. After about two weeks of using this in morning, I love how glowy and soft my skin is in the morning. I don’t have problems with the dryness or burning of the eyes. The exfoliation is small enough to where it doesn’t irritate my skin or cause redness. However, I will say I use this about every other morning. Side Note: On the days I don’t use this I use the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Cleansing Gel. Once again for under $10, if you want soft, supple, and exfoliated skin, give this a try.

No.7 Resurfacing Peel.
For some time now I’ve been realizing I need to incorporate some treatments to my skin care routine. I’ve been a lover of No.7 already so I got this Resurfacing Peel in a goodie bag. This is a bonus booster to my routine. This helps my everyday products work better and how they are supposed to. My skin appears more soft, dewy, and my dark spots has drastically faded. I use this once a week, coupled with my other skin care. This peel is on the pricey side of drugstore, at $32.99 at Target. However, this will last you a while especially if you only use it once or twice a week.

No.7 Resurfacing Peel

Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus Shea Butter Soap
Little fact about me, is that I’ve moved back to bar soaps. They are mild, last a long time, and have an endless supply of scents. This has been my all time favorite bar soap. Your skin is clean, fresh, and doesn’t feel dry. Furthermore, for only $5 you can have this bar for a while.

Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus Shea Butter Soap

Dickinsons Hydrating Toner with Rosewater
So this is another product I revisited. The first time around I didn’t see any results and felt that it dried my skin. However, after looking at it in my cabinet, I decided to give it another try. Well, I’m in love with it. I’ve noticed a difference in my pores being smaller. My skin doesn’t have texture, and I feel it helps my serums, mists, and moisturizer work better. I use it morning and night for the best results. I haven’t experienced any dryness or burning. This toner will definitely be repurchased. As you can see in the photo I’m just about done with this bottle.

Dickinsons Hydrating Toner with Rosewater

The last month or so I noticed a difference in my skin and I had to think of what I was doing differently. I always love trying new products, revisiting some old ones, and adding to my routine to give my skin a boost. Especially as seasons change. If you are needing some extra TLC or just want a boost in your routine, give these products a try. I’m a firm believer in you don’t have to spend a lot of money on beauty products to get amazing results. These are just some of my affordable beauty products I’m loving right now, if you have any more suggestions please let me know.

Quick mental note today, that came to me after having a great conversation this morning. Open your mind for understanding, clarity, and direction. We all heard this phrase growing up, keep an open mind, but never really understood or applied it in life. Of course, as we get older and experience life, we can appreciate the advice.

Be Open-Minded

But having an open mind for understanding benefits you in every relationship you may have. Ask and understand why a person has a certain point of view. Get to know what experiences shaped their perspective to believe a certain way. Knowing and understanding the circumstances around events will help you not be judgmental or critical because you guys aren’t seeing eye to eye.

When we’re able to get to know someone and their experiences, this allows the relationship to grow and develop deeper. There won’t be a stumbling block or hurdle constantly there you guys can’t get over. The ability to talk things through and work through differences become easier.

Open your mind for clarity allows you to know your position in the relationship. Any type of relationship. Because you are clear on where a person needs help or growth, you are able to assist in their healing. Which means, you are becoming a better person and you know where you are needed. You will be able to know how to love that person as well as know if that person is able to give you what you need in return.

Having an open mind for direction gives you the strength needed to know if you should continue or dissolve the relationship. The ability to effectively communicate, understand, and see another person side can save a relationship from completely going sour. Now having direction, will enable you to set boundaries and create plans for the relationship if needed. Girlfriends…Why We Need Them

Agree to disagree. Know your position and place. Then, do what you have to do to make sure you’re whole in the situation. You have all the tools needed then to proceed on any relationship or situation. This not only goes for relationships, but business deals, or any situation that requires you to compromise, give or take.

Remember you’re not changing your position or stance on what you believe or what you want. Basically, you just seeing where they are coming from. You are simply keeping an open for your mental sake, to know how to proceed. This avoids wasted time, money, resources, and losing relationships. Keep an open mind for understanding, clarity, and direction.

The other day I was walking with my husband and we were doing some reflecting on this past year as well as our 15 year marriage. The one thing that we always came back to was, God has kept us. God is a keeper. No matter what you go through or how bad a situation may seem, God has always kept us, you, and everyone else. How else are you able to sit here breathing and reading this. God has kept you.

What has God kept you from? When you were falling and didn’t hit that ground. He swooped you up right before you hit. There were times a bill or debt needed to be taken care of, God provided. It may not have been how you thought. Or, the resources come from the places we least expect. You’ve been able to eat everyday, God has kept you. Each and everyday you wake up, God has kept you. Let’s say the obvious, we survived an unpredictable year. God has kept us.

Most importantly there are many things God has kept us from and we don’t even know it. He has blocked us from so much without us knowing. In any event, you have overcome. There is so much you can probably say about what you’ve been through, but I guarantee you that there is more God has protected you from.

As we were reflecting on our walk, we agreed that trying to maintain control made issues worse than they should have been. I think we are all guilty of that. Trying to control and hold on to things that God has clearly said let go and let me handle it. Most often, we need to let go and let God lead us into the direction He has set for us. Gods ways is better than ours.

If you find yourself going around in the same cycle, let go and trust God to lead you. He has kept you this long, He will continue. Move out His way and let his will be done. He won’t steer you wrong. Trusting God, you can’t never lose. Allow Him in to lead you. Let him keep you as he has done so many times before.

Trust and have faith. God is a keeper!!!! STRENGTH

P.S. I am not a preacher. I encourage and inspire based off my personal experiences. My hopes are to motivate and help others prevent them from any heart ache.

I finally found me a healthy snack with my “Two Good” yogurt. One of my favorite snacks is a DIY yogurt parfait. I’ve probably tried every yogurt on the market. But when I decided to give “Two Good” a try, I’m hooked.

Two good yogurt is great for a quick breakfast, snack, or I use it as a meal replacement, because of its 12g of protein. One cup is only 80 calories but with 2g of sugar and 3g of carbs. Perfect for our low carb and low sugar eaters. Two good yogurt comes in a array of flavors. Also you can find it at any grocery store.

Now yes, you heard me say I use it as a meal replacement. My healthy snack with two good yogurt consists of adding honey granola, dried cranberries, and a little drizzle of honey. The added cranberries and honey gives it a little more flavor and texture. A bowl of this coupled with my DIY Non Dairy Iced Coffee is perfect for a morning or lunch snack.

My Recipe is as follows:

-1 Cup of Two Good Yogurt (Flavor of your Choice)
-Hand Full of Dried Cranberries or Raisins
-Peeled and Cut Apple (Or any fruit of your choice, adding fruit is optional)
-1/2 Cup of Granola (Any Granola of your Choice)
-Drizzle of Honey

**Please note you can adjust the portion size to your liking. Most of the time I go off how hungry I am or my urge to indulge.

First scoop the cup of yogurt into a bowl. Then place your hand full of dried cranberries into yogurt. Next, dump your peeled apple or fruit of choice in bowl. Finally, add your honey granola and drizzle your honey.

Mix or stir to your liking and enjoy. The total prep time is 10 minutes. This is a great snack for all year round. Because this healthy snack is packed with good vitamins and nutrients its filling enough to replace as a small meal. DIY Cucumber Lemon Water GREAT REFRESHER

The endless opportunities you can create with this snack is awesome. Experiment with different flavors of yogurts, fruits, and other add ins. Snacks like this one is why I love DIY. You can create to your taste or what your diet needs are. A twist on any dish adds great variety and gives you a break from your routine.

If you needing to figure out ways to incorporate a small healthy snack or meal replacement give this DIY parfait a try. Experiment and have fun. The entire family can enjoy this snack and boredom from eating the same thing is gone.

We’ve approached June 1, 2021 and its hard to believe. Has 2021 been what you expected it to be? Coming off a crazy year like 2020, we had many hopes and expectations of what we wanted and thought 2021 should be. Has 2021 been a great year for you so far? Or has it been a great disappointment?

To be perfectly honest, I had absolutely no expectations for the year 2021. I actually had a feeling of more of the same. I wasn’t expecting a huge shift in anything. However, I did go into the year with one goal, and that was to be grateful and positive no matter what came my way. How have I done so far? I must say I’m proud of myself. I’ve been very good at keeping a level head and trying to encourage myself and others.

2021 Expectations

On the other hand, I wanted to be fearless and take chances. And again, I’ve taken some steps professionally and business wise that I have been putting off. I’m proud of myself. So far for me 2021 has gone by fast and isn’t waiting on us for anything. If I can get through a COVID-19 school year, with the kids in seat, I can do anything. WHAT I’VE LEARNED THIS YEAR ABOUT MYSELF

Has your 2021 been what you wanted? If it hasn’t you still have time to plan, create, and set yourself up for success. The one thing we can’t get back is time. What are you waiting for? Turn your dreams into reality one step at a time. Do something everyday towards your dream or goal. It could be something as simple as reading an article or doing research.

If you want to go back to school, relocate, change careers, lose weight, or start a business, do one thing each day to make it reality. The more you work and grow, the more motivated and encouraged you become. Furthermore, we can’t just dream, we have to put some action behind it.

On the other hand, if your 2021 has been everything you hoped, then continue on the path you’re on. Continue to grow and live the life you set out. Even if no one says it, you are an inspiration to others. Enjoy the process and may you accomplish everything you set out.

2021 isn’t over, however time is moving like lighting and it isn’t going to slow down. I wish we could add hours in a day or tell time to slow down and wait until we’re ready. Go after and get whatever it is you want or want to do. Remember it’s a journey without a destination. It’s not a race, it’s a marathon. And lastly, the journey is yours and no one else’s.

Have a great day, week, month and rest of the year!!!!!
