WEEKLY BLOG: QUIET WEEK, SON FIRST DAY OF WORK, & RELAY FOR LIFE EVENT

This week we are catching up on rest after having a long holiday weekend. My son is going to be starting his new job. Adjusting schedules and figuring out activities for the other kids daily is on our list. Lastly we have a couple things to do and the big one is Relay for Life event. An annual cancer research event they have with games, booths, food, and fun activities to raise awareness.

Sunday: The plan today is to have a cookout at my moms to celebrate Memorial Day. The kids and I woke up early and had breakfast before prepping and heading out. I did a couple loads of laundry, quick tidy up, and enjoyed a cup of coffee before finally leaving. It’s really hot and humid so I knew I’d be tired coming in later. Early afternoon we headed over their and the hubs joined in after he got off of work. Hanging out grilling with my mom we had some good conversation and quality time. We weren’t too stressed or overwhelmed. We enjoyed cooking and swatting the flies all evening. The best part was we were done early enough to relax.

Monday: HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY!!!!! My last day off after a long weekend. This day is all about relaxing after being in heat all day yesterday. Oddly enough, I was a little dizzy with a headache. After breakfast I made it a point to lounge the rest of the day. Later in the evening, I was filling better so I decided to do a quick walk since I ate good this weekend and didn’t get in much exercise. We prepped for the work week and headed off to bed.

Tuesday: Back to the office. It’s always difficult to get up and start my morning without having to drop off the kids. I was going in to work expecting to be swamped after the office being closed for a couple days. However, to our surprise we were very mild today. I ended up leaving late afternoon because my son hasn’t been feeling well. Allergies and the change of weather has him feeling little peaky. Spent the evening doctoring him up, working out, doing laundry, and relaxing myself.

Wednesday: Another great morning and very calm day at the office. My son is doing much better and my husband finally got a day off. We really didn’t have much planned for this week. We are helping our son finish his paperwork to begin his new job. I’m proud, excited, and can’t believe my son is 16 and about to work. After work, I decided to come in and do more laundry. We had been enjoying having little on the to do list and catching up on rest after the long holiday weekend. There are a couple activities we have planned for the weekend.

Thursday: Spent most of my day at the office taking some really good notes. Sometimes when you brain storm you can start writing and never stop. Other days, it seems like you’re pulling at straws. Had another really good passive income idea I ran by husband to see what he thinks. To my surprise he was on board with it. Because work at the office has been slow, I’ve been able to all week research, read, and learn more about certain things I’d like to do. After several days of working out, I decided to give myself a break and use cleaning as a way to workout. We then night capped watching TV with the kids.

Friday: It’s a full day but thank goodness morning and afternoon was quiet. Right after work, we have to attend a quick church event. Then we are headed to ”Relay for Life” kick off. 5 SIMPLE AND EASY HEALTHY TIPS FOR SUMMER Even though it’s hot and humid we told the kids we’d go out there. Later in the evening after having a good time catching up and having fun at the relay for life, we wanted to shower and head to bed.

Saturday: I don’t get to sleep in today because it’s my son’s first day of work. He has to be there at 8:30 in the morning. I have a couple errands and be somewhere by 10a.m. I had plans to clean and do some laundry. In the middle of all this, there is the annual kids fest event held in the park that I’d like to make it to if the kids are up to it. Lastly, later in the evening we plan to go back out to the relay for life and enjoy some of the activities again. A few hours later, back at home my day was fun, productive, accomplished, and good. I was able to get everything done without feeling rushed or stressed. A perfect Saturday if you ask me.

Have a great week everyone!!!!!!!!
