WEEKLY BLOG: LAST WEEK OF SCHOOL, MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND PLANNING, QUICK WORK WEEK

This is going to be an interesting week. It’s the last week of school. The work week is cut by day for me due to us participating in United Way Fundraiser, and we have to plan a good 4 day weekend for the holiday. All in which will take us out of our normal routine. But it will be fun.

Sunday: Great day to sleep in and rest. After an long weekend with track meets and the temps have dropped by almost 30 degrees, I welcome the brisk fresh air. I’m all caught up on laundry and grocery shopping. So I’m going to focus on keeping the house tidy. I began asking the kids about some ideas we came up with for the long holiday weekend ahead. Needless to say I rec’d mixed reactions. So back to the drawing board. Later in the evening I had an amazing workout and a chill evening with my kids. The hubs has to go in and close the store due to a lack of help.

Monday: Great start to this short work week. I’m loving the cool temps actually. It’s going to give me a chance to mix up working out inside the home and going outside. Last week of school and I told my kids to just have fun and enjoy time with their friends. Had a really good day at the office and was able to get some admin stuff done on projects. Later in the evening I had an amazing walk outside and was able to retire in bed early.

Tuesday: Had a great breakfast and coffee date with the hubs after drop off. Office was quiet but I was able to get some research done. Later on in the day I was grooving and my daughter and I had a great conversation. I was very excited she wanted to talk and ask me questions. Once again I tried to make progress on what we were going to do this weekend and of course no input. After dinner we also discussed on ways to cut back this summer since the kids were out of school and we really weren’t using a lot of things we pay for. IE subscriptions and many other apps.

Wednesday: Very humid this morning. Almost to the end of the school year, just one more day. Had to make a quick grocery store run before heading to the office. This week is very quiet because it’s a holiday weekend. Of course, I used my time wisely and submitted proposals, worked on editing and updating some listings, and worked on some ideas. Later on in the evening I decided to do a mid week clean. Due to the weather changing, rain, and humidity, the ants and spiders I can’t take. Afterwards I was already warmed so I decided to go out for a walk and get in a good sweat since it was very humid. It was amazing as I got to see some Deer hang outside and enjoy the weather also. Late night I enjoyed the NBA game and went to bed.

Thursday: LAST DAY OF SCHOOL!!!!!!!!! We are all excited for this day. Another year has flown by and I’m so proud of my kids for staying the course in these challenging times. To celebrate them for doing amazing we planned to go out for dinner and have a night out. Oddly enough the memorial day weekend plans they want to keep it simple and remain local. So we’re going to head to the lake, have a little cookout, and play it by ear the rest of the weekend. We had an amazing night and enjoyed one another. MENTAL HEALTH AND SELF CARE IS FREE

Friday: Today begins my 4 day weekend and I’m super excited. Started early with cleaning, laundry, and making breakfast for the kids. The hubs had to go open the store. I have a couple errands I need to run and whilst I do that I’m going to test out some new skincare and makeup to see how it holds up. Later in the evening we headed downtown to enjoy the Memorial Day kickoff. They had a live band, activities for the kids, food truck Friday, and the weather was great. After having a great time we opted to keep it local the rest of the weekend and let the days come to us.

Saturday: I woke up and had breakfast with the kids. Got a lot of housework done before heading out to enjoy the evening. The kids wanted to go do laser tag, bowling, and mini golf. So we enjoyed having fun with the kids. After game night out, the kids were tired and wanted to order take out. The hubs and I opted to go have a dinner date and head back up town for some fun. I would say I wanted to have a good plan for the weekend, but this enjoying local activities and letting the day come to us has been much more enjoyable.

Have a great week everyone!!!!!!!

MENTAL HEALTH AND SELF CARE IS FREE

“I can’t afford to lose my job or take time off work to seek mental health treatment is there anything I can do”

YES!!!!! Your mental health and self care is free. Just because you have a strict schedule, job, or boss doesn’t mean you can’t practice self care. Having a lack of resources at your finger tips won’t hinder you from developing good self care habits. You’ve taken the first step in acknowledging you need and want a better care for yourself. Right now you have an abundance of resources it’s just how you use them.

planners and papers

First, you can pretend like you do have a therapist and journal. Journaling For Mental Health, TRY IT This is free of cost, free for your spirit and the first step to acknowledging your honest true feelings and emotions. To journal you can purchase a notebook for less than a dollar. If you want to throw in some extra couple bucks, purchase some affirmation stickers to decorate it for less than $3. (This is what my daughter did, and her notebook is so pretty and tailored to her.) Now you have a personalized journal that gives you positive affirmations and thoughts to repeat before opening and pouring your heart out. Once you have a journal begin with what sparked you to want a better mental health. 7 HEALING JOURNAL PROMPTS FOR A PEACEFUL WEEK What are the triggers, event, or persons behind your emotions?

As you begin to heal and grow, you can opt to save for a really good journal that will help you develop all around wellness. Try this beautiful journal that’s less than $10 to get you started when you’ve saved enough to purchase it. https://amzn.to/3HaANwQ

Next, you can use your phone that’s at your finger tips to get daily motivation. Make a decision and choice to ONLY seek positive content. Once you only click or search positive content the algarithm will then flood your feed with that content. It has worked for me and I can truly say it helps to not even see a negative title or headline. YouTube, Pinterest, and Instagram has some amazing quotes, scriptures, passages, reminders, and hope to keep you fueled thoughout the day. Also begin to distance yourself or limit your interactions with those who aren’t feeding you like you want to be fed. Your motivation and encouragement doesn’t just have to come from digital. That one person that only calls, text, or have a negative story isn’t good for your mental health. Delete social media if you have too. ALL MY SOCIAL MEDIA APPS DELETED

Thirdly, focus on you. Wake up a little early. Make sure you look good and feel good about your appearance before heading out. Focus on your physical health. Do some walking, gardening, hiking, biking, or any activity to keep your body moving. Exercise and sweat out some toxins. Schedule in your activity. Create a schedule for the week, month, and day. Have an outline of what you have to do. This ensures you aren’t overwhelmed, you can make time for yourself, and still being productive at work and at home. The schedule is free because you can create it on your phone. Schedule your meals, activity, laundry, cleaning day, and this will give you something to hold yourself accountable. If you can use resources at work, email it to yourself and print it. The schedule is also a good way for you to begin to create boundaries and say NO!!!!!! Saying no and creating boundaries is free.

beads cross prayer rosary

The fourth thing you can do to get a handle on your mental health is seek a spiritual community. Having a community of people to share, pray, and worship is the best way to filter out the bad and keep the good. If you choose to worship on Sunday in person that is great, but you can also do so using the phone you already have. The first I thing I do every morning is have time with God. In the form of music, a sermon on youtube, or me having my own prayer session. Get rooted in faith and hope.

The fifth is to use your time wisely. While you’re on break at work you can journal, listen to a podcast, read a book, or watch a quick motivational video. Opt to have lunch alone so you can get what you need without judgement, interruptions, or criticism. If you are cooking dinner, listen to a sermon on youtube. Find an inspiration channel that feeds your soul. When I clean and do laundry I put my earbuds in and let the universe speak to me. You are moving and getting exercise, while feeding your mind with positive energy, and getting things done on your list. All of this is free and good for your mental health. You’ve developed habits.

The sixth free thing you can do for your mental health is develop routines. A good morning routine to get your day started. This will ensure you are in a good headspace to conquer the day. Even when things seem to go sour, you’ll have tools and motivation in your spiritual bank to pull from. Next a good night routine to wind yourself down. How was your day? What didn’t you like that you can work on? What was good about the day? Release it to make room for a clear slate the next day. MID WEEK MENTAL HEALTH REMINDERS

Lastly, give yourself permission to feel. You will have good days and some bad days until your habits become second nature. But continue to push through and work through it. Each bump in the road is a teaching moment. Don’t ignore them. Listen to them and ask yourself why am I reacting this way or feeling this way. The good news is because you did this on your own without seeking a paid counselor the reward in understanding and growth will be just that much greater.

Happy Healing.

5 REMINDERS ABOUT SELF LOVE

What does self love mean to you? The truth is we all have different ideas of what self love is, should be, or can be. Here are 5 reminders we all can use when exercising self love.

  1. EMBRACE THE GOOD AND BAD
Neither one of us is perfect. Nor, will we ever be. To the end of time we all will have flaws. The key to self love is knowing we were made in the perfect image of God. We are enough no matter what the flaw is. Embracing the good in you increases your confidence and boosts your self esteem. However, embracing the perfect imperfections allows a great sense of self awareness. Knowing where you lack in something or need assistance gives you power to seek help, assistance, and get better. In return, will also increase your confidence. TUESDAY TIP: LEARN FROM YOUR MISTAKES
  2. SELF LOVE IS A MUSCLE
Unfortunately, we can’t just wake up one day and say I have self love. It’s a muscle we have to exercise daily. This self love muscle will need intentional care, actions, and recovery. As we age, grow, and heal we will have to exercise the muscle accordingly. Our ability to evolve and have self awareness will depend on how strong our muscle is. There isn’t a destination for self love. It’s the journey that makes the love grow stronger and stronger.
  3. ARE YOUR GOALS REALISTIC
When exercising self love, we have to be mindful of our expectations, goals, and reality. We can always dream, hope, and wish. But living in reality and setting realistic expectations will allow us to achieve the love for ourselves. Not looking to be perfect or seeking perfection will help stay on track. Accepting, embracing, and acknowledging each step before we move forward is key to achieving self love. Completing a level before moving forward will make for an enjoyable journey.
  4. WHAT YOU THINK, IS WHAT YOU BELIEVE
If you believe you can, then you will. What we tell ourselves is important to the journey of self love. If our mindset is lack, then we will operate in lack. If we think we deserve abundance then we will make abundance decisions and choices. Think highly of yourself, believe in your abilities, and know you deserve the love first. Once you do, then everyone else will follow suit. We teach people how to treat us.
  5. GRACE IS KEY
Because self love isn’t a destination, there isn’t a such thing as perfection, and it’s ever evolving grace will be needed. You will have good days and bad days. There will be times you feel love, inspired, and motivated. Other times, you may feel alone, no one understand, and nothing is happening. Give yourself the grace to feel. Once you feel, adapt, adjust, and continue to love yourself. Healing and growth is a process.

Keep these 5 self love reminders handy when going through your journey. Your journey is unique to you and no one else has to understand.

Be well on your journey.

WEEKLY BLOG: SON 16TH BIRTHDAY, STATE TRACK MEET, AND END OF SCHOOL ACTIVITIES

After having the last couple weeks be mild and free. This week we’re going to busy wrapping up end of school year activities, state track meet will begin at the end of this week, and my son 16th birthday is this week. My goal is to stay on top of schedule, keeping the house in order, and maintaining calm.

Sunday: Starting the week off well rested and ready to have a good week. After our typical Sunday morning routine, I began laundry and planning dinner for later and tomorrow. I was also able to get 7 JOURNAL PROMPTS FOR A GOOD WEEK posted. The last three Sundays I’ve been very good uploading and posting as many listings as possible on Poshmark. Therefore, managing and selling through the week is simple and with ease. Mid afternoon I will post a couple more listings and do some admin stuff on my closet. After laundry I have a workout planned and then the goal is to relax after dinner.

Monday: 6 TIPS FOR MONDAY MORNING BLUES I really wasn’t ready for the work week to start. But after a quick pep talk to myself and prayer, I was back in good spirits ready to go. And after all, it was a good day at the office and we had a great evening. The kids are finishing up the end of year activities. We are gearing up for our son’s 16th birthday this week. To our surprise he doesn’t want much or want to do much. After dinner I wanted to try a new hair style so I washed my hair and gave it a good deep condition, then styled. I wasn’t able to get a workout in, because my brother called and of course we ended up having a lengthy conversation.

Tuesday: This morning is going well. The sun is shining and the humidity is low. The hubs had to go into work later this morning and we had a good coffee date. Due to work being slow, I was able to get many proposals sent out and work some contracts. After work, I was in a mood and cleaned while the kids headed to moms for a while. Later in the evening, I had to do some errands because my son wants an old fashion backyard BBQ for his birthday. When I finished the store run, I was tired and ready for bed.

Wednesday: Oh I didn’t want to get up this morning. I think I’m just as ready for the school year to be over with as the kids. But after drop off, I had to do a quick errand for my son birthday before heading to the office. My plans today is to clean and prep for his birthday. But while at the office do administrative work on my contracts and listings. Later in the evening after a workout I decided to do a mid week clean to get ready for my sons birthday.

birthday letterboard with confetti

Thursday: Its my son’s 16th birthday. I took off to prepare so when my husband got off work and the kids get out of school we’ll be ready to have the BBQ. During the preparations I came to a great point where I was able to run out and have a good walk before everyone came home. It was very important for me to take a moment for myself and just be. Early evening my mom came over and we had a great time. It’s always a great night when I can clean and tidy up without feeling overwhelmed.

Friday: Feels weird this morning because the kids are off today, because state track meets starts. We are definitely headed out there this weekend. Therefore, leftovers and keeping up will be my priority. Work day was quiet and we were happy. Our office is transitioning into a new system and ironing out the kinks has been challenging. However, it is very hot and humid today. Which makes for a hot day at the stadium. State track meets have begun and we’re prepping to head out for the evening.

Saturday: After a long and hot humid day we were all tired, showered, and headed to bed. Again today we’re kinda busy. My son has a hair cut appointment first thing, track meets are starting very early, I have a quick appointment, and it’s storming like crazy. At first the meets were postponed due to lightening and thunder. After a couple hours delay they resumed. However, it was cold, damp, and uncomfortable. In the end we were able to make all appointments and oddly enough had a great time at the stadium both days.

Have a great week everyone!!!!!!

7 HEALING JOURNAL PROMPTS FOR A PEACEFUL WEEK

This week we are going to focus on some journal prompts for inner peace healing. These 7 healing journal prompts helped me identify where I need healing and growth. I also learned how certain relationships and past events show up presently.

woman in gray crew neck t shirt doing yoga

Using these healing journal prompts allows you to take a deeper look into what your triggers are. Also where the triggers come from. Through journaling for healing we’re able to recognize why we gravitate towards certain people. EMOTIONAL HEALING: OPEN YOUR MIND FOR UNDERSTANDING

Here are 7 healing journal prompts for inner peace:

  1. Describe a time when you felt most comfortable or yourself. (when writing about this time describe where you were, who was around, what were you wearing, what the weather was like, what was said in the convesation, this would help you identify or clarify who and what makes you happy)
  2. The first thing I think about in the morning is…(the moment you open your eyes what is the first thing that occupies your mind/thoughts, this prompt gives you an insight on what is causing your stress or anxiety)
  3. The one thing I’m afraid for people to know is…(we all have that one thing that we don’t want people to know, it could be an insecurity, past trauma, or thought, be as specific as possible, this will tell you what you need to conquer to free yourself)
  4. Do I feel stressed or anxious right now? Why or why not? (sometimes we may not want to say exactly what has us jumpy or we want to use an excuse, be honest and specific why or why not you’re feeling anxious or stressed, it could be nothing, something big something small)
  5. My most difficult relationship is…(once I realized what my most difficult relationship was, I was able to get clear on why I did certain things, closed myself off to certain people, and what triggered me. It doesn’t have to be romantic, it could a parent, sibling, coworker, cousin, aunt, uncle, friend, neighbor.)
  6. I am proud of myself for…(when was the last time you told yourself you were proud of you, this is one affirmation I’ve come to love, it could be simple as ”I’m proud of myself for trying a new recipe”, no matter how big or small be proud of yourself)
  7. What is my favorite TV show and why? (what we watch and consume consistently tell us a lot about our personalities and who we are, I love anything on ID Discovery, I’m more interested in the ”why” people choose the extremes that they do)

Try these 7 prompts for healing this week. The goal is to get a point of view from different backgrounds of life. Either way they’ll all come together to let us know how we’re doing, where we need to work, and what we are good at. You deserve healing and happiness.

Happy Writing!!!!

5 SIMPLE AND EASY HEALTHY TIPS FOR SUMMER

The weather has drastically shifted and it seems summer has began early. Here are 5 simple and easy healthy tips we all can use this summer.

gray and black dslr camera beside sun hat and sunglasses
  1. WALKING OUTDOORS
Of course, everyone knows this is my favorite activity. Walking outdoors in the summer time allows you to get some natural vitamin D that we all need to stay healthy. Using the natural sunlight always gives a good natural tan that we look for. Because of the heat and sun, we sweat more than normal, which means toxins are being released from our bodies. It will give you energy, great mental clarity, and an excellent source of emotional healing. Walking is a great self care activity for every area of your life.
  2. STAY HYDRATED
With temperatures high and the humidity making you feel like you’re suffocating, hydration is essential. Making a pitcher of cucumber lemon water is a great way to ensure you have something refreshing at any moment of the day. DIY Cucumber Lemon Water GREAT REFRESHER There are a ton of water infused recipes out there you can try. The more variety you add, the more vitamins and nutrients you are putting in your body naturally. Staying hydrating also includes your hair, skin, and body. Yes, I know it’s hot but keeping lightly moisturized ensures the elements outside doesn’t damage your skin. Opting for water gel moisturizers for your skin is best. They sink into the skin without being heavy or greasy. In shower body moisturizers are my go to for summer months. Finally, a light hair lotion that doesn’t weigh your hair down is a great option to keeping your hair protected.
  3. EAT WITH COLOR
The more colors you add to your diet the better. In the summer a great healthy tip is to add as much colors to your meals as possible. Fresh green salads, pasta salads, and fruit salads are a great way to add color. We have an array of content and recipes to pull from to add variety. Incorporate many different varieties of fruit smoothies into your diet. All options allows you to eat fresh, light, and healthy. In return, maintaining a good balance with the walking outdoors.
  4. ENJOY LOCAL FESTIVITIES AND ACTIVITIES
Much has changed in the last two years. Therefore, finding new ways to entertain and enjoy family time has to get creative. No matter where you live, how large or small of city you live in, there are a ton of activities each week and weekend over the summer. It’s not so much about the event but about enjoying your time, having great conversation, and communing with others. Just getting out trying events and activities that you wouldn’t necessarily do, breaks you out of your comfort zone. You begin to meet new people. Thus opening and expanding your network.
  5. SUNSCREEN
It wouldn’t be a great summer tip without using sunscreen. We are going to be out more than normal, so protect yourself by applying sunscreen. There are sunscreens available for hair, skin, and everything in between. We still have an obligation to protect ourselves from the elements. Lotions, sprays, and sunscreen sticks are available to us at affordable prices. Be mindful and protect yourself this summer.

Have a great, happy, and healthy summer!!!!!!!

25 ORDINARY THINGS I’VE NEVER DONE

I thought I’d share a fun post list of things I’ve never done that some may consider ordinary or normal. A list of ordinary things I’ve never done has been eye opening to write and also learn about myself. I encourage anyone to sit down and write ordinary things you’ve never done. It may just give you some insight on how your upbringing, family, life, and now adulthood has shaped you. MOTIVATIONAL HEALING: LEARN YOUR SOURCE OF ANGER

6 TIPS FOR MONDAY MORNING BLUES

The alarm clock goes off and you instantly get into a mood. The only thing you can think about is what you have to do at work, the coworker that gets on your last nerve, what’s for dinner, and the bills that are due today. You have no energy to get out of bed nor do you have any enthusiasm.

woman in black shirt sitting on white chair

We’ve all had these mornings, probably once twice. The truth is we can’t stop these kind of mornings, however we can do minor things to get us through.

  1. Immediately stop any negative talk or thoughts. Instead, remind yourself of why you took the job or position in the first place. What excitement did you have when you first started? That co worker that gets on your nerves is telling you there is something about you, that they hoped to have. You inspire them. YOU INSPIRE SOMEONE OUT THERE Dinner is hours away, you will have a meal on table.
  2. Stretch. Just about 5 minutes of stretching from head to toe. Wake up your joints, bones, and get that blood circulating. You’ll feel loose and ready to move.
  3. Take a shower, wash your hair, and face. Release all the negative into the drain and renew your spirit. Put some time into yourself. Make yourself feel good and look good.
  4. Put something good in your belly. Have a good fulfilling breakfast. Breakfast is not only good for your physical body, but your brain and emotional wellbeing as well.
  5. Before heading out for your day, take a moment to pray. Gratitude for the vehicle to get to work, the job itself, the home and bed you just woke up in, that nutritional breakfast, and simply waking up. There is someone out there who went to sleep last night and didn’t wake up.
  6. Lastly go have a good day. Expect goodness throughout the day. When we expect goodness and have hope, our thoughts will remain positive. By the evening you’ll forget you even woke up on the wrong side of the bed.

Monday morning blues will come and they will go. But be intentional and practice small habits that will boost your mood. Certain things will always be out of our control. What we can control is what we think about the situation, how we respond, and get through. Remember good times don’t last but tough people do. This is temporary.

Have a great day!!!!

7 JOURNAL PROMPTS FOR A GOOD WEEK

In the last month or so, I’ve decided to journal write every morning. As previously stated, I would journal randomly. Because I really been trying to be intentional about being present and emotionally sound, I thought I’d journal every morning to see where it takes me.

person holding a scrapbook

I can say I’ve been more calm, stable, and aware of myself mentally and emotionally. I can make decisions and not feel guilty. I’ve learned the importance of responding to situations and events as opposed to reacting to them. Furthermore, journaling every morning has giving me peace to not respond to some situations at all. HAVE YOU HAD YOUR ANNUAL MENTAL HEALTH CHECK UP?

I think one of the reasons I didn’t journal regularly before, even though it was helpful when I did, I wasn’t sure if I was doing it ”right”. In this last month I’ve gotten comfortable in journaling my way. Even if you don’t have anything going on, nothing is bothering you, journaling for a specific time is healthy for your own personal clarity. Journaling For Mental Health, TRY IT

Here are 7 journal prompts to try this week:

  1. Today I feel(this three word prompt allows you to be free and express every emotion you are feeling, be as specific as possible.)
  2. The school year is coming to an end and I feel…about it (this prompt is great for you to express yourself as a parent and what the transition of changing routines makes you feel)
  3. This time of year spring/summer is my favorite or least of the year, why or why not? (exploring how you feel about different seasons allows you to determine if you have seasonal depression or anxiety, and a different perspective about your personality)
  4. One thing that will make me more confident is…(be completely honest about the one thing that nags at you that you want to be more confident about)
  5. The one thing I need to stop doing and why…(we all have that one thing that hinders us from getting to where we want to be, verbalize it, express it, and leave it on the paper)
  6. Dream day in my life…(this was my absolute favorite, get as detailed and specific as possible of what you dream a day is like in your perfect world)
  7. If you’re not happy doing what you’re doing, what would you like to do? (be as specific as possible, about your dream career, job, or profession)
a happy woman working from home

These 7 journal prompts allows you the ability to explore every area of your life and where you are. Some fun and some serious to give you balance. The most light hearted can be the most eye opening sometimes. It makes for a fun journaling session. Journal your way, how you want to write, and get out what you need to be the best you. The provided link to this amazing calendar and organizer is the beginning of you prioritizing your self care needs. https://amzn.to/3QchQy3

When setting up your journaling session, clear the table or desk. Then make sure there aren’t any distractions like television, phone, kids, or spouse. Get you a cup of tea, coffee, or water. Allot yourself a set time. You can opt to start at 15 minutes or even an hour. Either way, you’ll come to learn you won’t be able to put the pen down. Have a specific place to put your journal when you’re finish. Lastly, use the same pen each day.

Happy Writing!!!!!!

WEEKLY BLOG: ORDINARY QUIET WEEK

Looking ahead this week we don’t have much going on. It’s another one of those weeks where we can relax, catch up on cleaning, and resting.

notebook with inscription near cup of coffee on crumpled fabric

Sunday: Very full day. I was able to sleep in, have a great family breakfast, do laundry, and get many listings posted on Poshmark. Later in the after noon, we had an amazing Sunday dinner. The day went so well, I was able to go out and enjoy the cool breeze on a nice walk in the early evening. It was a great day and night to cap a great weekend. Again my husband and I were able to say, we had a full productive weekend. Isn’t that what life is all about. Living life each day, some will be good, some will be bad, but we’ll get through it all.

Monday: Cold, rainy, and dark. We getting ready for another round of storms, starting today. But we’re still headed off to a great day. The kids are starting their testing and end of year courses today. So they aren’t as eager to head off. Work is going amazing and I’ve been trying to stay a little later than normal to help out the new agent. She’s still getting comfortable and feeling her way. Later in the evening, after a workout, I found myself doing some laundry before heading to bed. WEEKLY BLOG: TYPICAL WORK WEEK

Tuesday: Nice break from the rain but it feels like a fall day out. I can tell we’re about to have some strong storms. Quiet peaceful day at work. I’ve been able to use my time wisely in getting work done and researching other ventures. However, I was able to get BEING A MOM INSPIRES ME posted. After work we were able to get my moms trash done and some cleaning up at her house. The kids have been tired due to testing and I can tell they are mentally over this year. I had a very good day of managing some listings and contracts. It could be because of the weather but I was ready to hit the sack very early this evening.

Wednesday: Great morning even though it’s still gloomy out. We don’t have too much going on this week really. Which is a nice break. Always having ”stuff” to do or a full schedule can be mentally draining. Because work at the office was slow, I was able to get plenty of ideas written down. Just putting my thoughts to paper has been helpful and allowing me to sort ideas out. In the evening, we all was somber due to the storms out. However, I was able to get in a good workout before relaxing for the rest of the evening. My husband and I have been binge watching some shows on HULU and they are great. ”The Act” and ”The Thing About Pam” were great originals.

Thursday: Another gloomy and rainy morning. All the kids have testing today. Everyone is ready to go and get this testing week over with. Heading into the office I plan to use the slow time again to do some brainstorming and research. Not much planned for the rest of the day besides relaxing. We have a few plans for the weekend so after work tomorrow I’ll do a good clean to have the house ready.

Friday: Finally it’s the weekend. We all were worn out and tired. We look ahead to great summer like temperatures to start the week off. We’re winding down to the last couple days of the year and I feel like I’m more ready than the kids. We have some plans for tomorrow so after work I’m going to do a grocery run and clean the house.

Saturday: We had to be up and out by 9a.m. to get to the stadium. It started off cool but quickly temps rose and we were warm out. The kids had an amazing time at the Olympics. Every year at the end, the school district puts on this Olympic type event with all the schools competing. It’s a great family, fun, friendly event. After hours of being out there we headed to my moms for a couple of hours. Lastly we were worn out from the sun and headed home to relax.

Have a great week!!!!!
