It’s the week of Christmas and everyone is running around frantic. This is a fun, exciting, and emotional week leading up to the big day. Even if this moment is only five minutes. Take it with pleasure. A long bath or shower is always a good way to recoup and be in the moment. If going out window shopping is something you can do for yourself then do that. Go to your local coffee shop, and have a moment to think or not think about anything at all. A good way to be uninterrupted, is to go in the bathroom and close the door. People may thing you’re doing number 2, 🤷🏾‍♀️ but that’s ok. Thats the point.

Take a moment and call a friend to see how they are holding up during this time. We never know what people are going through. Sometimes helping others and being an ear for others, helps us as well. You get through things together.

Worry about what you can control and leave rest. Don’t stress yourself over anything. No matter what happens you can have a great holiday if you choose to. Furthermore, it will all work out how it suppose to.

Either way you are suppose to enjoy yourself as well. Yes, we are supposed to give and make others feel special, but you have permission to make yourself feel good as well. As you prepare to enjoy your holiday don’t forget to take a moment for yourself. You deserve it. You have the right to. Don’t let this holiday go by without you enjoying yourself.

Be Well!!!!!

Happy Holidays!!!!!! Merry Christmas!!!!!!

I have said it a million times, I’m a beauty junkie. However, I do have a limit and there are some items I just leave to a luxury beauty gift wish list. Now what seems luxury to me, may be everyday for some. But that’s ok. This year there have been some beauty items tugging at my wallet, but I just can’t seem to follow through with the purchase.

**This claims to be age defying, plumps the skin, and provides a glowing complexion amongst other things. 1.0oz priced at $64.00. I’m pretty sure this is an amazing moisturizer, but there are many others that can provide the same benefits or better. But with the pretty packaging it will look good on any vanity. So I’ll just leave it on my wish list.

Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream Moisturizer

For $90 I can get 3 lipsticks in 3 different shades. One sheer, matte, and a balm finish. I know this will make my lips soft and have great color pay off. However, I almost never finish a lipstick because I try so many. So I just can’t pay the price for it. I’m pretty sure they are lovely.

Gucci Rouge A Levres Voile + Balm Holiday Gift Set

Skin perfecting blush and highlighter duo. First of all I don’t even wear makeup everyday. When I do, its just brow gel, mascara, and Carmex. I’ll apply a mattifying primer to keep the oil at bay. So to spend this on a blush or highlighter that won’t get used I’m going to leave it on my wish list.

Tom Ford Illuminate Blush Duo

I’m almost positive that this foundation is amazing. It claims to have long lasting skin benefits that helps overtime. I know for sure I’d be able to find my perfect shade. But, I’ve thrown away many foundations over the years due to me having so many and some not getting used as often.

Bobbi Brown Intensive Serum Foundation

I am a sucker for anything with pretty packaging or handle. I just want to know will this brush make my powder do something magical? There are some amazing affordable makeup brushes that has stood the test of time.

La Mer Powder Brush

These are just a couple of beauty items that continually caught my eye. But due to my minimal lifestyle, me trying to be financially responsible, and less wasteful I just can’t make the purchase. HOLIDAY 2021: 3 SIMPLE SELF CARE TIPS Now if this was me, 5 years ago, then absolutely I would have to have them all. But I know I can achieve the same look and get the same results with other products.

Please don’t mistake this for me condemning anyone for purchasing these products. This is just me having fun and living in my dream fantasy with my luxury beauty items.

Have a great holiday!!!! Happy Holidays Everyone!!!!!!

The holidays are stressful for most. For many maintaining the simple basis of self care is essential for survival. I had to learn this coming from a large family. No matter if we were hosting or if I was traveling I didn’t seem to have anytime for myself or to just simply breathe. Here are 3 simple self care tips anyone can do for the holidays.

Take your time. Make sure you have gathered yourself mentally before heading out the door. When I travel to see my family I tend to get in this anxious rush because they are calling non stop asking where I’m at and how far do I have to go. I would rush and pack, load the car, and hit the road. On the other hand, if they were visiting me, I get a million calls and text as to when I’m getting off of work. Therefore, I would alway feel rushed to get to where everyone is.

To solve that I no longer give a specific time. I let them know when I have started traveling and tell them I’ll call with an update. Occupy yourself or do something to keep busy to calm down. I clean and tidy the house so I return to a stress free home. I’ll do laundry or clean the bathrooms to keep me occupied mentally and physically. That way I know I’ve taken care of my home, given time to myself, and I will arrive when I’m ready.

After a long evening and day with family, a night time wind down is a must. My preference is to do it in silence or with some soft jazz music. A long shower or bath is a must. Brush teeth and wash face to cleanse the day away. Before getting into bed have a moment of silence or meditate to center your mind. Collect your thoughts and breathe. Self Care Mental Health Tips

This ensures you go to bed with a clear mind and heart. You won’t wake up heavy. Furthermore, you won’t wake up with a feeling a anxiousness. Look at your nightly wind down as a reset for each day. Once again, this allows you to have some alone time with yourself.

Yes, its the holidays and you want to always be camera ready. But don’t make yourself miserable wearing an outfit that isn’t fit to last hours. Make sure you are comfortable physically and emotionally. Worrying about how you’re going to adjust to last the night will make the night go sour. Make sure you’re prepared if you are one to always be cold. On the other hand, if you’re the one always having hot flashes prepare for that as well.

We all eat well during holiday season make sure you’re able to enjoy great food with family and friends by wearing clothes that are comfortable.

These are just a few holiday self care tips that I do to keep me comfortable physically and emotionally. It has worked for me and I thought I’d share. The number one key is to make sure you find time for yourself. And if you can do so while getting some house work done or a workout in that is always a plus.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!!! I hope you all have a safe, relaxing, and fun time with family and friends. Use this time to breathe and just be. You’ll get back to work soon enough. Enjoy being off and let yourself be free. EVEN THE STRONGEST NEEDS A BREAK

Whatever this holiday may look like for you, embrace it. There are many changes happening in everyday life, so some may not still get to gather for a multitude of reasons. If you are dealing with grief and loss, remember the good times. Celebrate as if they were still with you physically, because they are with you still spiritually.

If you are a family having financial difficulty, don’t let that sour your mood, weekend off, and holiday. Have a great Thanksgiving with what you have. Just because a million dollars gets spent doesn’t mean it will be enjoyable. You can still have an amazing time with less. Even if you can’t do what you used to, still do what you can and enjoy.

On the other hand, if you’re a family that has distance literally and/or figuratively, gather and send love anyway. Even if they don’t receive the love right away, they’ll have it to hold to for when they need it. Make a choice to do right and love regardless. I know it may be difficult. But remember forgiveness is for you not them. Also making the decision to do right instead of being right may just get things back on track.

Life is short. We can’t get this day back, time back, or holiday do over. Don’t waste it. Be you and take care of yourself.

I am very grateful and appreciative of everyone who has supported, stop by, commented, and like a post of mine. It means the world to me. Thank you all so much.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving!!!!!!!!!
