I’m back at it again. Rotating some oldie but goodie and affordable beauty products I’m loving right now is my thing. These are some products that I’ve decided to give another try. Also there are some that I picked up on a whim because they were on sale. 5 THINGS I’M LOVING RIGHT NOW

Freeman Deep Clearing Manuka Honey & Tea Tree Oil Clay Mask +Cleanser.
This is my first time trying this cleanser/mask and its AMAZING!!!!!! I picked it up for $3.99 and its worth the price of a luxury beauty mask. My preference is to use it as a mask at least 3x a week. I apply it to clean damp skin and let it set for about 15 minutes. Upon rinsing with warm water my skin is soft, pore less, blemish free, breakout free, and hydrated. If you are wanting a cleanser that is a 2-n-1, helps with breakouts, dryness, clogged pores, texture, or blemishes, give this a try.

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Exfoliating Cleanser
This is my second time trying this exfoliating cleanser. I must say I’ve been successful this go around. Before when I purchased it, I had experienced dryness and burning of the eyes. After about two weeks of using this in morning, I love how glowy and soft my skin is in the morning. I don’t have problems with the dryness or burning of the eyes. The exfoliation is small enough to where it doesn’t irritate my skin or cause redness. However, I will say I use this about every other morning. Side Note: On the days I don’t use this I use the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Cleansing Gel. Once again for under $10, if you want soft, supple, and exfoliated skin, give this a try.

Dickinsons Hydrating Toner with Rosewater
So this is another product I revisited. The first time around I didn’t see any results and felt that it dried my skin. However, after looking at it in my cabinet, I decided to give it another try. Well, I’m in love with it. I’ve noticed a difference in my pores being smaller. My skin doesn’t have texture, and I feel it helps my serums, mists, and moisturizer work better. I finally found me a healthy snack with my “Two Good” yogurt. One of my favorite snacks is a DIY yogurt parfait. I’ve probably tried every yogurt on the market. But when I decided to give “Two Good” a try, I’m hooked.

Two good yogurt is great for a quick breakfast, snack, or I use it as a meal replacement, because of its 12g of protein. One cup is only 80 calories but with 2g of sugar and 3g of carbs. Perfect for our low carb and low sugar eaters. Two good yogurt comes in a array of flavors. Also you can find it at any grocery store.

Now yes, you heard me say I use it as a meal replacement. My healthy snack with two good yogurt consists of adding honey granola, dried cranberries, and a little drizzle of honey. The added cranberries and honey gives it a little more flavor and texture. A bowl of this coupled with my DIY Non Dairy Iced Coffee is perfect for a morning or lunch snack.

My Recipe is as follows:

-1 Cup of Two Good Yogurt (Flavor of your Choice)
-Hand Full of Dried Cranberries or Raisins
-Peeled and Cut Apple (Or any fruit of your choice, adding fruit is optional)
-1/2 Cup of Granola (Any Granola of your Choice)
-Drizzle of Honey

**Please note you can adjust the portion size to your liking. Most of the time I go off how hungry I am or my urge to indulge.

First scoop the cup of yogurt into a bowl. Then place your hand full of dried cranberries into yogurt. Next, dump your peeled apple or fruit of choice in bowl. Finally, add your honey granola and drizzle your honey.

Mix or stir to your liking and enjoy. The total prep time is 10 minutes. This is a great snack for all year round. Because this healthy snack is packed with good vitamins and nutrients its filling enough to replace as a small meal. DIY Cucumber Lemon Water GREAT REFRESHER

The endless opportunities you can create with this snack is awesome. Experiment with different flavors of yogurts, fruits, and other add ins. Snacks like this one is why I love DIY. You can create to your taste or what your diet needs are. A twist on any dish adds great variety and gives you a break from your routine.

If you needing to figure out ways to incorporate a small healthy snack or meal replacement give this DIY parfait a try. Experiment and have fun. The entire family can enjoy this snack and boredom from eating the same thing is gone.

DIY Cucumber Lemon Water GREAT REFRESHER

So we know how important it is to drink water throughout the day as well as the benefits of drinking the proper amount of water daily. Try this recipe for DIY cucumber lemon water. However, there are many of us who don’t like the taste of water, which can discourage us from drinking it.

Cucumber Lemon Water

Yes, there are many options available for flavoring our water on the store shelves. On the other hand, I’ve found making a gallon of cucumber lemon water is much more refreshing. Not to mention, the natural and healthy nutritional benefits of having cucumber and lemon in your water. And because it’s a DIY cucumber lemon water recipe its going to be served and enjoyed with love.

The recipe is simple, little to no prep time, and very inexpensive.
To make a gallon of cucumber lemon water you’ll need the following:

-1 Gallon of Water
-1 Cucumeber
-2 Lemons

Thinly slice the cucumber and lemon. Place both the cucumber and lemons into the bottom of the pitcher. Pour your gallon of water into the pitcher with the cucumber and lemons. You can give it a little stir to mix everything together, but it isn’t necessary.

Next, you can refrigerate for about an hour to cool or fill pitcher with ice if you’re needing to serve right away. The longer you allow the ingredients to penetrate the water the more flavorful it will be.

Cucumber Lemon Water

If you don’t want to make a full pitcher, a glass of ice water recipe calls for:
*2 Slices of Lemon
*3 Slices of Cucumber

Please note: This is how I like my cucumber lemon water. You may increase some ingredients or decrease some depending on your taste buds.

This is a great refresher if you don’t like the taste of water, if you plan on entertaining and would like a spin on plain water, great of course in the summer, and if you need a detox at the beginning of the year to start your fitness journey.

I first tasted this flavor of water three years ago at a Hotel in July while we were on vacation. Every time we walked into the lobby we couldn’t wait to stop at the cooler and get a cup, and I’ve been hooked ever since then. When I drink cucumber lemon water I can’t stop and therefore my body thanks me. For example, whenever I feel like I need to cleanse or dehydrated I spend the weekend drinking this mixture and by Sunday I can literally see the difference in my body, energy, and skin.DIY…Starbucks Medicine Ball

To sum this all up, this is a healthy way to get in the proper amount of water. Please give it a try and let me know how you enjoyed this all natural refresher.

DIY…Starbucks Medicine Ball

Ok, I have a guilty pleasure of going to Starbucks. DIY…Starbucks medicine ball is my current recipe to replicate. However, I do know it can be an expensive habit and I get a rush on figuring out ways to make my favorite drink at home. One of my favorite drinks is the Honey Citrus Mint Tea aka the medicine ball.

This is advertised as an high in vitamin c drink that supposed to boost your immune system through the cold and flu season. Does it help with boosting your immune system or get over a cold, that remains to be proven. However, the only thing I do know, is this drink on a brisk fall morning or an evening night cap drink is a must try.

The ingredients are very simple. The recipe for a Grande, which is 16oz, calls for half hot water and half steamed lemonade. So 8oz of hot water to 8oz of steamed lemonade. Then two flavors of tea are Jade Citrus Mint and Peach Tranquility and a packet of honey which measures about 1 teaspoon.

The blend of the citrus and mint along with the honey is very soothing to the throat even if you don’t have a sore throat. Late in the evening before bed, it opens your sinuses while giving you a relaxed calming energy.

The last two weeks I have divulged in tea while creating many recipes of my own with a twist. My at home recipe consists of the following:

DIY…Starbucks Medicine Ball

-1 Cup of the Simply Lemonade (I’ve experimented with regular and light and they both taste amazing.) (
-1 Cup of hot water not boiling
-1 Tea Bag of Peppermint tea
-1 Tea Bag of the Citrus Sunrise
-1 Tea spoon of honey (

Start by placing the one cup of water and one cup of lemonade into a small pot and bring to a steam. Just as soon as it begins to come to a boil take it off.

Next, pour mixture into mug with both tea bags. Let it steep for about 2-3 minutes. Add one teaspoon of honey, stir , and its ready to sip.

Total prep and cook time, 10 minutes.
I have loved and enjoyed my evening with this drink. The most fun though, has been playing around with different mixtures and flavors of tea.

Some others mixtures I’ve tried for the DIY…Starbucks Medicine Ball is:
-Mint Honey and Lemon Ginseng Tea ( – one peppermint and one honey lemon ginseng tea bag each
-Citrus Honey and Lemon Ginseng Tea-one citrus sunrise tea bag and one honey lemon ginseng tea bag
-Double Mint Lemondage tea-2 peppermint tea bags
-Black Citrus ( tea in the morning- one black tea bag and one citrus sunrise tea bag
-Black Mint Awakening tea- one black tea bag and one peppermint tea bag.
All mixtures are made with the same one cup of hot water and one cup of lemonade with the teaspoon of honey.

As you can see I have experimented quite a bit and found some great soothing indulgence for morning, noon, and night. Any of the above mentioned mixtures can be enjoyed anytime of the day.
