I love collecting coffee mugs. Big mugs, small mugs, colorful mugs, inspirational mugs, and homemade mugs by my children are the best. When I drink coffee or tea in one of my mugs, I place myself on a balcony listening to the birds chirping straining my eyes to see through the dense fog creating my photo of the day. Sip, dream, imagine, and visualizing where I want to go, what I want to do, and how I’m going to make it happen. Depending on my mood, I may a choose one of my inspirational mugs that will give me a reminder throughout the day to keep myself motivated, choosing my “Mrs.” mug means I’m loving on my husband throughout the day, and when I choose a sassy mug I’m feeling a red lipstick day coming.

Walking for Health…Mental and Physical

Yes, walking is my favorite exercise. Walking for mental and emotional health is best free therapy. I can literally walk everyday and not get tired or bored. Not only do I walk to keep my heart healthy, maintain my weight, and for energy, but its the most important part of me keeping my mental health in check.

If I have a bad day at the office, stressing trying to keep three kids, a husband, and household running, or trying to figure something out I literally say I need to go for a walk. Walking is a great exercise you can do for creating and stabilizing your mental health.

Walking reduces stress, anxiety, and depression. When walking you’re able to dissect negative emotions, feelings, and thoughts. Figure out and understand why certain feelings and emotions occurred. Walking to clear your head is therapy for your mind, body, and soul. You can literally speak aloud your thoughts, release them, and come to solution.

Walking for mental health increases self esteem, mood, and good sleep. When we go for a walk we release tensions and toxins that is making us have sleepless and restless nights. Another great benefit of walking is it improves our sense of self, mind, and awareness. Walking is free and the most effective exercise you can do.

Do You Have A Vision For Your Life

When we go on vacation, its planned out from the time we leave til the time we return. It starts off as conversations with spouses, family, and friends trying to choose a destination. Next we find a hotel, resort, or house to rent for the stay and book it. Reservations and deposits are put down. Flights are booked. Overtime we begin making payments, saving money, and of course putting in vacation time at work. As the vacation time nears we go on a diet, plan daily outfits, make sure we have those bikinis loaded, mani, pedis, hair done, tanned, and by this time mentally we are already on vacay.

But do we have that same vision for our life?

Well guess what, we can plan our life the same way. So often we have dreams, aspirations, goals, and visions for ourselves that seem so far fetched that we think they are unattainable. Self Care IS SETTING PERSONAL GOALS Whatever you envision for your life you can achieve. Just like that vacation that costs thousands of dollars that you have to plan for in advance. We can create a plan for our life and future.

What do you want? Where do you see yourself living? Where do you see yourself working? What business you want to start? Where do you want to raise your family? Those are visions that we have for ourselves. Because our visions may seem so out of reach we push the back. But what God places in us never goes away. If your dreams or vision scares you, then you ought to go chase them.

Begin planning your life vision with what you already have. With each small step towards our goal, it gets us closer. Just like you have a picture in mind of what you want your outfit to look like, you have that same picture of your life. Piece by piece put that photo together. As we do when we plan a vacation, we have to prepare for the “what if’s “. All that means is we have to be prepared for a flight with a stop and layover, then we can keep going .
