WEEKLY BLOG: QUIET WEEK, SON FIRST DAY OF WORK, & RELAY FOR LIFE EVENT

This week we are catching up on rest after having a long holiday weekend. My son is going to be starting his new job. Adjusting schedules and figuring out activities for the other kids daily is on our list. Lastly we have a couple things to do and the big one is Relay for Life event. An annual cancer research event they have with games, booths, food, and fun activities to raise awareness.

Sunday: The plan today is to have a cookout at my moms to celebrate Memorial Day. The kids and I woke up early and had breakfast before prepping and heading out. I did a couple loads of laundry, quick tidy up, and enjoyed a cup of coffee before finally leaving. It’s really hot and humid so I knew I’d be tired coming in later. Early afternoon we headed over their and the hubs joined in after he got off of work. Hanging out grilling with my mom we had some good conversation and quality time. We weren’t too stressed or overwhelmed. We enjoyed cooking and swatting the flies all evening. The best part was we were done early enough to relax.

Monday: HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY!!!!! My last day off after a long weekend. This day is all about relaxing after being in heat all day yesterday. Oddly enough, I was a little dizzy with a headache. After breakfast I made it a point to lounge the rest of the day. Later in the evening, I was filling better so I decided to do a quick walk since I ate good this weekend and didn’t get in much exercise. We prepped for the work week and headed off to bed.

Tuesday: Back to the office. It’s always difficult to get up and start my morning without having to drop off the kids. I was going in to work expecting to be swamped after the office being closed for a couple days. However, to our surprise we were very mild today. I ended up leaving late afternoon because my son hasn’t been feeling well. Allergies and the change of weather has him feeling little peaky. Spent the evening doctoring him up, working out, doing laundry, and relaxing myself.

Wednesday: Another great morning and very calm day at the office. My son is doing much better and my husband finally got a day off. We really didn’t have much planned for this week. We are helping our son finish his paperwork to begin his new job. I’m proud, excited, and can’t believe my son is 16 and about to work. After work, I decided to come in and do more laundry. We had been enjoying having little on the to do list and catching up on rest after the long holiday weekend. There are a couple activities we have planned for the weekend.

Thursday: Spent most of my day at the office taking some really good notes. Sometimes when you brain storm you can start writing and never stop. Other days, it seems like you’re pulling at straws. Had another really good passive income idea I ran by husband to see what he thinks. To my surprise he was on board with it. Because work at the office has been slow, I’ve been able to all week research, read, and learn more about certain things I’d like to do. After several days of working out, I decided to give myself a break and use cleaning as a way to workout. We then night capped watching TV with the kids.

Friday: It’s a full day but thank goodness morning and afternoon was quiet. Right after work, we have to attend a quick church event. Then we are headed to ”Relay for Life” kick off. 5 SIMPLE AND EASY HEALTHY TIPS FOR SUMMER Even though it’s hot and humid we told the kids we’d go out there. Later in the evening after having a good time catching up and having fun at the relay for life, we wanted to shower and head to bed.

Saturday: I don’t get to sleep in today because it’s my son’s first day of work. He has to be there at 8:30 in the morning. I have a couple errands and be somewhere by 10a.m. I had plans to clean and do some laundry. In the middle of all this, there is the annual kids fest event held in the park that I’d like to make it to if the kids are up to it. Lastly, later in the evening we plan to go back out to the relay for life and enjoy some of the activities again. A few hours later, back at home my day was fun, productive, accomplished, and good. I was able to get everything done without feeling rushed or stressed. A perfect Saturday if you ask me.

Have a great week everyone!!!!!!!!

WEEKLY BLOG: LAST WEEK OF SCHOOL, MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND PLANNING, QUICK WORK WEEK

This is going to be an interesting week. It’s the last week of school. The work week is cut by day for me due to us participating in United Way Fundraiser, and we have to plan a good 4 day weekend for the holiday. All in which will take us out of our normal routine. But it will be fun.

Sunday: Great day to sleep in and rest. After an long weekend with track meets and the temps have dropped by almost 30 degrees, I welcome the brisk fresh air. I’m all caught up on laundry and grocery shopping. So I’m going to focus on keeping the house tidy. I began asking the kids about some ideas we came up with for the long holiday weekend ahead. Needless to say I rec’d mixed reactions. So back to the drawing board. Later in the evening I had an amazing workout and a chill evening with my kids. The hubs has to go in and close the store due to a lack of help.

Monday: Great start to this short work week. I’m loving the cool temps actually. It’s going to give me a chance to mix up working out inside the home and going outside. Last week of school and I told my kids to just have fun and enjoy time with their friends. Had a really good day at the office and was able to get some admin stuff done on projects. Later in the evening I had an amazing walk outside and was able to retire in bed early.

Tuesday: Had a great breakfast and coffee date with the hubs after drop off. Office was quiet but I was able to get some research done. Later on in the day I was grooving and my daughter and I had a great conversation. I was very excited she wanted to talk and ask me questions. Once again I tried to make progress on what we were going to do this weekend and of course no input. After dinner we also discussed on ways to cut back this summer since the kids were out of school and we really weren’t using a lot of things we pay for. IE subscriptions and many other apps.

Wednesday: Very humid this morning. Almost to the end of the school year, just one more day. Had to make a quick grocery store run before heading to the office. This week is very quiet because it’s a holiday weekend. Of course, I used my time wisely and submitted proposals, worked on editing and updating some listings, and worked on some ideas. Later on in the evening I decided to do a mid week clean. Due to the weather changing, rain, and humidity, the ants and spiders I can’t take. Afterwards I was already warmed so I decided to go out for a walk and get in a good sweat since it was very humid. It was amazing as I got to see some Deer hang outside and enjoy the weather also. Late night I enjoyed the NBA game and went to bed.

Thursday: LAST DAY OF SCHOOL!!!!!!!!! We are all excited for this day. Another year has flown by and I’m so proud of my kids for staying the course in these challenging times. To celebrate them for doing amazing we planned to go out for dinner and have a night out. Oddly enough the memorial day weekend plans they want to keep it simple and remain local. So we’re going to head to the lake, have a little cookout, and play it by ear the rest of the weekend. We had an amazing night and enjoyed one another. MENTAL HEALTH AND SELF CARE IS FREE

Friday: Today begins my 4 day weekend and I’m super excited. Started early with cleaning, laundry, and making breakfast for the kids. The hubs had to go open the store. I have a couple errands I need to run and whilst I do that I’m going to test out some new skincare and makeup to see how it holds up. Later in the evening we headed downtown to enjoy the Memorial Day kickoff. They had a live band, activities for the kids, food truck Friday, and the weather was great. After having a great time we opted to keep it local the rest of the weekend and let the days come to us.

Saturday: I woke up and had breakfast with the kids. Got a lot of housework done before heading out to enjoy the evening. The kids wanted to go do laser tag, bowling, and mini golf. So we enjoyed having fun with the kids. After game night out, the kids were tired and wanted to order take out. The hubs and I opted to go have a dinner date and head back up town for some fun. I would say I wanted to have a good plan for the weekend, but this enjoying local activities and letting the day come to us has been much more enjoyable.

Have a great week everyone!!!!!!!

WEEKLY BLOG: SON 16TH BIRTHDAY, STATE TRACK MEET, AND END OF SCHOOL ACTIVITIES

After having the last couple weeks be mild and free. This week we’re going to busy wrapping up end of school year activities, state track meet will begin at the end of this week, and my son 16th birthday is this week. My goal is to stay on top of schedule, keeping the house in order, and maintaining calm.

Sunday: Starting the week off well rested and ready to have a good week. After our typical Sunday morning routine, I began laundry and planning dinner for later and tomorrow. I was also able to get 7 JOURNAL PROMPTS FOR A GOOD WEEK posted. The last three Sundays I’ve been very good uploading and posting as many listings as possible on Poshmark. Therefore, managing and selling through the week is simple and with ease. Mid afternoon I will post a couple more listings and do some admin stuff on my closet. After laundry I have a workout planned and then the goal is to relax after dinner.

Monday: 6 TIPS FOR MONDAY MORNING BLUES I really wasn’t ready for the work week to start. But after a quick pep talk to myself and prayer, I was back in good spirits ready to go. And after all, it was a good day at the office and we had a great evening. The kids are finishing up the end of year activities. We are gearing up for our son’s 16th birthday this week. To our surprise he doesn’t want much or want to do much. After dinner I wanted to try a new hair style so I washed my hair and gave it a good deep condition, then styled. I wasn’t able to get a workout in, because my brother called and of course we ended up having a lengthy conversation.

Tuesday: This morning is going well. The sun is shining and the humidity is low. The hubs had to go into work later this morning and we had a good coffee date. Due to work being slow, I was able to get many proposals sent out and work some contracts. After work, I was in a mood and cleaned while the kids headed to moms for a while. Later in the evening, I had to do some errands because my son wants an old fashion backyard BBQ for his birthday. When I finished the store run, I was tired and ready for bed.

Wednesday: Oh I didn’t want to get up this morning. I think I’m just as ready for the school year to be over with as the kids. But after drop off, I had to do a quick errand for my son birthday before heading to the office. My plans today is to clean and prep for his birthday. But while at the office do administrative work on my contracts and listings. Later in the evening after a workout I decided to do a mid week clean to get ready for my sons birthday.

Thursday: Its my son’s 16th birthday. I took off to prepare so when my husband got off work and the kids get out of school we’ll be ready to have the BBQ. During the preparations I came to a great point where I was able to run out and have a good walk before everyone came home. It was very important for me to take a moment for myself and just be. Early evening my mom came over and we had a great time. It’s always a great night when I can clean and tidy up without feeling overwhelmed.

Friday: Feels weird this morning because the kids are off today, because state track meets starts. We are definitely headed out there this weekend. Therefore, leftovers and keeping up will be my priority. Work day was quiet and we were happy. Our office is transitioning into a new system and ironing out the kinks has been challenging. However, it is very hot and humid today. Which makes for a hot day at the stadium. State track meets have begun and we’re prepping to head out for the evening.

Saturday: After a long and hot humid day we were all tired, showered, and headed to bed. Again today we’re kinda busy. My son has a hair cut appointment first thing, track meets are starting very early, I have a quick appointment, and it’s storming like crazy. At first the meets were postponed due to lightening and thunder. After a couple hours delay they resumed. However, it was cold, damp, and uncomfortable. In the end we were able to make all appointments and oddly enough had a great time at the stadium both days.

Have a great week everyone!!!!!!

WEEKLY BLOG: ORDINARY QUIET WEEK

Looking ahead this week we don’t have much going on. It’s another one of those weeks where we can relax, catch up on cleaning, and resting.

notebook with inscription near cup of coffee on crumpled fabric

Sunday: Very full day. I was able to sleep in, have a great family breakfast, do laundry, and get many listings posted on Poshmark. Later in the after noon, we had an amazing Sunday dinner. The day went so well, I was able to go out and enjoy the cool breeze on a nice walk in the early evening. It was a great day and night to cap a great weekend. Again my husband and I were able to say, we had a full productive weekend. Isn’t that what life is all about. Living life each day, some will be good, some will be bad, but we’ll get through it all.

Monday: Cold, rainy, and dark. We getting ready for another round of storms, starting today. But we’re still headed off to a great day. The kids are starting their testing and end of year courses today. So they aren’t as eager to head off. Work is going amazing and I’ve been trying to stay a little later than normal to help out the new agent. She’s still getting comfortable and feeling her way. Later in the evening, after a workout, I found myself doing some laundry before heading to bed. WEEKLY BLOG: TYPICAL WORK WEEK

Tuesday: Nice break from the rain but it feels like a fall day out. I can tell we’re about to have some strong storms. Quiet peaceful day at work. I’ve been able to use my time wisely in getting work done and researching other ventures. However, I was able to get BEING A MOM INSPIRES ME posted. After work we were able to get my moms trash done and some cleaning up at her house. The kids have been tired due to testing and I can tell they are mentally over this year. I had a very good day of managing some listings and contracts. It could be because of the weather but I was ready to hit the sack very early this evening.

Wednesday: Great morning even though it’s still gloomy out. We don’t have too much going on this week really. Which is a nice break. Always having ”stuff” to do or a full schedule can be mentally draining. Because work at the office was slow, I was able to get plenty of ideas written down. Just putting my thoughts to paper has been helpful and allowing me to sort ideas out. In the evening, we all was somber due to the storms out. However, I was able to get in a good workout before relaxing for the rest of the evening. My husband and I have been binge watching some shows on HULU and they are great. ”The Act” and ”The Thing About Pam” were great originals.

Thursday: Another gloomy and rainy morning. All the kids have testing today. Everyone is ready to go and get this testing week over with. Heading into the office I plan to use the slow time again to do some brainstorming and research. Not much planned for the rest of the day besides relaxing. We have a few plans for the weekend so after work tomorrow I’ll do a good clean to have the house ready.

Friday: Finally it’s the weekend. We all were worn out and tired. We look ahead to great summer like temperatures to start the week off. We’re winding down to the last couple days of the year and I feel like I’m more ready than the kids. We have some plans for tomorrow so after work I’m going to do a grocery run and clean the house.

Saturday: We had to be up and out by 9a.m. to get to the stadium. It started off cool but quickly temps rose and we were warm out. The kids had an amazing time at the Olympics. Every year at the end, the school district puts on this Olympic type event with all the schools competing. It’s a great family, fun, friendly event. After hours of being out there we headed to my moms for a couple of hours. Lastly we were worn out from the sun and headed home to relax.

Have a great week!!!!!

WEEKLY BLOG: TYPICAL WORK WEEK

My intentions this week is to be in the moment, remain calm, and let things play out how they are supposed to.

Sunday: Very beautiful outside. Had breakfast with the kids and published WEEKLY BLOG: EASTER SUNDAY, LONG WORK DAYS, & SUMMER PLANNING. In the afternoon, I plan to post more listings on Poshmark and do a closet clear out. Later in the evening I will do my daughters hair and after that probably done for the day. Her hair takes me almost 3 hours to do. After spending 3 hours posting listings on Poshmark, I had to postpone doing my daughters hair. We capped the evening early with some double fudge brownies.

notebook with inscription near cup of coffee on crumpled fabric

Monday: Very brisk and cool morning. I’m am motivated today to get up and start the week. Before heading off to work I left a honey-do-list since the hubs was off. I had a very good day at the office today. Stayed a little late to help out the new agent. After having a snack and getting comfortable, I did my daugters hair. That took me to late evening. All I want to do is bathe and lay down.

Tuesday: Great sunny cool morning. Drop was amazing, had a great breakfast with the hubs, and was able to finalize some sales on Poshmark. Office time was great with the new agent. She’s adjusting very well and will fit in to the culture of our office. After work, we had some errands to run and finish finalizing a quick staycay for this weekend. The kids are ready to have some fun and relax. In the evening the hubs and I decided to have an impromptu date night. We both were feeling like we needed time to recoup, talk, and take a breather. Late night hours before bed I was in a mood to finish a couple loads of laundry. Eventually I decided to shower, cleanse my face, brush my teeth and head off to bed.

Wednesday: Busy morning due to a doctors appointment early. None the less, we got off to a great start and the adjustments worked out perfect. It’s very nice and warm out today before we head into days of thunderstorms. After work I decided to do a good mid week clean. We have some plans for Friday and Saturday so I wanted to make sure the house was together before the weekend. Also I’m so proud of myself for cooking two meals at dinner to help prepare me for tomorrow.

Thursday: Typical morning. I think we’re all ready for this year to be over with. I was busy today with errands before heading into the office. Training the new agent has been going very well. She’s open and receptive. Not too much going on after school. We’re expected to have a busy weekend. So relaxing tonight was all needed. I was feeling like I wanted to do alot so I decided to get on the treadmill to calm myself.

Friday: Humid, rainy, lightning, and thunder. Need I say more. It’s dark and I just want to go back to bed. However, school and work must go on. Because of the weather it was very quiet in the office. Once again, I was able to get much needed notes, proposals, and contracts done. After work and school we had a couple of hours before my son had to work movie night at the school. He’s a student ambassador so he’ll be working concession. Moving night turned out great even though they didn’t move it inside.

Saturday: Very busy morning. The boys went and got hair cuts. I also went to get my hair trimmed. Then we had to head off to a birthday party at the lake. The weather was perfect for a party out in the park on the lake. Then we ended up having a great long family outing afterwards. At the end of the night we were all tired and ready for bed. But it was a great full day.

Have a great week everyone!!!!!

WEEKLY BLOG: EASTER SUNDAY, LONG WORK DAYS, & SUMMER PLANNING

This week we are focusing on the end of the school year. What camps the kids are going to go to or if they want to go. Also because an agent left, I’m going to be working longer days until the new agent gets comfortable.

Sunday: Happy Easter!!!!!!! After getting in late last night from game night night, we showered and went to bed. My plans were to get up early and cook. I wanted to have dinner early and have a little time in the evening to relax before the work week. Because my kids are older some of the traditions we just don’t do anymore. I did get up early and have dinner ready by late afternoon early evening. We enjoyed more game night and then relaxed. The kids had a great time, enjoyed the food, and family. That is all that matters. We capped the evening off watching the NBA playoffs.

Monday: Finally a work day in which I don’t struggle to get up. Very brisk and cool this morning. Great start to a work week. Prepared to be at the office longer than usual this week. However, it made for a good day because I was busy all day. Dinner was simple because we had leftovers from Easter Sunday. After a long day and work out I was ready to turn in early.

Tuesday: I feel good this morning. I’m going to have a great day even though I will be at the office longer than usual. Had a good coffee date with the hubs this morning. And I had a chance to publish WHICH SELF CARE CATEGORIES ARE YOU DOING WELL IN?. It’s sunny but cool out. Until more storms tonight. Today we are planning our summer ”vacations”. We aren’t going to do a week long vacay anywhere. However, my family enjoys 3-4 day adventures to different cities and places. The kids have had a couple of request so we’re going to begin planning and prepping for that.

Wednesday: Cold rainy morning. Enjoyed coffee run with the hubs again, as we plan our son 16th birthday. Late last night we were successful in planning our summer plans and we wanted to begin the fall. Does anyone else do quarterly or seasonal planning? Sometimes we just like to have an idea or throw some things out there ahead of time. Couldn’t stay late at work today due to scheduling. Great evening with kids. It’s only 25 more school days and keeping them motivated is a challenge. But we’re getting through it.

Thursday: Very good journal writing session before heading off to work. I was feeling a little anxious. I have so much in my head I want to do or have started and exercising patience has been challenging. Even though I was very busy at the office today I was able to do some planning, create some ideas, and prepare for the second half of the year. After work, because it’s so beautiful out, I decided to walk outside. The calmness, clarity, and peace was amazing for me to have a great night in. Before bed, we finalized our plans for Mother’s Day.

Friday: Sort of busy this morning. With running errands and dropping off packages. Another long day at the office for me. Ready to check out for the weekend. Right now there isn’t too much planned for the weekend. I plan to do some work from home to get started on my summer goals and second half of the year goals. After work, which was a great day, my son tells me theres an event at his school he wants to go to. So now there is a wrench thrown in my plans. Also my aunt is leaving tomorrow so we were going to moms for the evening. WEEKLY BLOG: NEW PERFUME, DETOX, & VISIT FROM AUNT After dropping my son off, we headed to moms until the event was over.

Saturday: I have some plans to edit ideas and posts, as well as pictures for Poshmark. My aunt left early this morning and now I’m awaiting her safe call. It’s very nice outside so after work I plan to go out for a walk. Our Saturday was very chill relaxing. The hubs and I did some financial planning and discussed some things we wanted to do with the kids more. The kids opted to stay in and relax.

Have a great week everyone!!!!!

WEEKLY BLOG: EASTER WEEK, EMOTIONAL BREAKDOWN, & GAME NIGHT

This is going to be a short week for work and school. Because of Easter Sunday coming, I’m off work on Friday and the kids get out of school. We’re trying to figure out ways to spruce things up and do something different.

Sunday: Great morning with sunshine coming through just how I like it. It’s finally nice to have temps back into spring like weather. After breakfast I finished the final edits and published WEEKLY BLOG: BACK TO SCHOOL, LOTS OF CATCHING UP, SONIC MOVIE. I finished some notes and planned more post. I think we plan to enjoy the day before the work week begin. I’m focusing on me this afternoon, doing my hair and nails. The only thing on my agenda is to workout. Later in the evening I was able to have some ”me” time and relax.

Monday: Great start to a rainy morning. My plan for today is to work while I’m at work. I have some goals in mind that I’m trying to reach. After drop off, I had a little motivation so I published HAPPINESS ISN’T A DESTINATION. Work was very quiet and peaceful today. Later on in the evening I was still battling a headache that just wouldn’t go away. So I decided to cook dinner and turn in early. I understand when my body and mind says to sit down, that I will do. Tomorrow will be another long day because we have an event to go to in the evening.

Tuesday: Morning allergies is getting to my son again. But he was able to get up and get off to school ok. Office was kind of slow, but we’re in our final stages of transitioning another agent so it makes it better. Had plans to do some errands after work due to an event we’re supposed to go to. Yup, it’s Tuesday so we always go to my moms to set out her trash. Needless to say we’re in a pinch because we have less than an hour. After the event we stop by the store and headed home. I was in a mood and did a late night cleaning session. Afterwards, I did my night routine and headed off to bed.

Wednesday: Very gloomy morning. We’re under tornado and hail storm warning. I hate this weather. I don’t know what’s worse, snow and ice or rain and thunder. After drop off and before heading to the office there are some packages I need to drop at the post office. I plan to do some notes, proposals, and listings today. After dinner, in the evening I was debating on some contracts to accept, doing some research, and other work. Headed off to bed feeling very productive and sticking to my plan.

Thursday: Very emotional morning. There are some childhood emotional traumas that I’ve been tackling. It’s very hard, scary, and gut wrenching. However, I know I need to address this. After dropping the kids off, I literally took a moment for myself before heading to the office. Well, that didn’t go well. Maybe 20minutes into arriving I was still not doing well. I had to quickly gather my things and tell them I had to leave. I just had to let it out. I was literally crying as if I heard some tragic news. I came home jumped under the blanket and let myself go. I realized I needed to give myself permission to let it out. Afterwards I knew I had to collect myself in time to pick up the kids. I journaled and let every emotion out. I prayed. Then gave myself a quick ”girl get your ish together.” Later in the evening after dinner I got in a good workout and put myself to bed.

Friday: Good Friday!!!!!!! I am off today. The kids have a half day of school. My plans are to have coffee, enjoy a program, and handle a couple of task while I’m at home alone. I’m feeling a lot better today and ready to get into gear. Late afternoon I have an spa appointment and we’ll probably go have dinner out. The kids said they didn’t want to do too much. In my time alone, I was able to post ALL MY SOCIAL MEDIA APPS DELETED. (No my emotional breakdown isn’t related to me deleting my social media apps.) Get some mail shredded and a couple loads of laundry. The weather wasn’t too friendly out, so we enjoyed our evening in.

Saturday: Cold brisk morning. Couldn’t sleep in too much. There were plenty errands to take care of before tomorrow, Easter Sunday. I decided to do a quick workout as soon as I got up. My son and husband went to the barber shop and then errands of their own. After working out we finished up errands before heading to game night. The kids wanted to have family game night at my moms. She and my aunt, who’s here visiting, WEEKLY BLOG: NEW PERFUME, DETOX, & VISIT FROM AUNT cooked and planned a great evening. Later after all my Easter Sunday prep was done, we headed over. Family game night was fun and lasted very late.

Have a great week everyone!!!!!

WEEKLY BLOG: BACK TO SCHOOL, LOTS OF CATCHING UP, SONIC MOVIE

”Feelings are much like waves, we can’t stop them from coming but we can choose which ones to surf.”-Jonatan Martensson

This week I’m am focused on catching up with some contracts, proposals, and listings. For the last couple of weeks I’ve been emotionally drained. My mother had an out patient procedure done. She’s home and recovering well. So now I’m jumping back into the sack and plus the kids were on spring break last week.

Sunday: Night 2 of Wrestlemania. My son and husband are huge wrestling fans. Wrestlemania is always a big deal in our home. Because we stayed up late for night 1, we slept in. As usual, have a big family breakfast, I worked out early, and got the kids ready. The pre-show started at 5p.m. After working out, we opted for a finger food dinner and watched Wrestlemania until late night. We enjoyed the show and headed off to bed afterwards.

Monday: Back to business. It’s always hard getting the kids back into gear after a long week of staying up and sleeping in. But the morning went off without a hitch. Work is a roller coaster because we have a agent that’s leaving. The plus side is we’re slow right now so the transition is going ok. After school we had dinner early and the kids relaxed. Because it was so pretty out, I had to go for a walk. We wanted to turn in early because the NCAA championship game was coming on. Late into the evening we stayed up until the game went off.

Tuesday: Staying up late the last two nights has me very sluggish in the morning. But I’ll take the moments when I can. It’s ACT testing day and my son is headed off and ready to go. The morning routine went well even though it was rainy and dreary out. Work was steady and peaceful. The quiet time at the office I’ve been using to send out proposals and manage my listings on Poshmark. The rain subsided, so the day turned out to be nice and breezy. Although I said I was going to give my legs a break I’m going to head for a quick walk. Capped the evening off with posting more listings on Poshmark.

Wednesday: I had a little interruption in my morning routine. My annual wellness visit to the doctor was rescheduled for 8am today. Handle Your Business…Go To The Doctor So the hubs and I had to split drop off. The doc visit went very well and glad I was able to get it over with. Heading to the office it’s very windy and cool out. I wasn’t busy at all today which left me time to work on scheduling interviews for some freelance contracts. (This is how you work a side hustle. Use your time wisely. It can be done.) I decided to take the evening off and give my body a break from working out. The evening was very chill. After dinner I worked a little bit, had a cup of tea, and channel surfed. We will have a long day tomorrow because we’re catching an early screening of the new Sonic movie. My son is a huge fan of Sonic the Hedgehog.

You Deserve A Moment

Thursday: MOVIE NIGHT!!!!!! My son is super excited to go to this Sonic movie. But business is first. Morning routine went off great. My hubs went in later in the morning so he was able to join me on the drop off. Of course, we stopped at our favorite cafe to have coffee and a quick bite to eat before we head off to work. However, I made a pit stop home to do some final edits and publish 3 NEWLYWED SELF CARE MISTAKES I MADE real quick. After work we had dinner and only 2hours before heading out to the movies. The movie was amazing. We all loved it. Afterwards grabbed a quick bite to eat and headed home. Everyone was ready to shower and go to bed. My daughter has art club in the morning so we have to wake up extra early.

Friday: We made it another week. The morning started extra early because we had to get to art club before school. Stayed up kinda late doing some contracts and more proposals. I said I wanted to get more listings posted on Poshmark and send out as many proposals as possible, and I’ve accomplished both. It’s kinda of cold and dreary this morning. What do you know, we woke up to a little snow. But it quickly subsided. There really isn’t much planned for this weekend. Relax and resetting. The evening turned out quiet, slow, and peaceful. We all came in got comfy and relaxed.

Saturday: This was a great Saturday as my husband says. We had breakfast and literally relaxed the rest of the day. Although it was sunny out, it was still quite cool. None of us wanted to go out. My husband had to go to his store for a couple hours. After that, he joined me in Netflix and chill. I found a good show to binge watch and enjoy. Late night, I did a quick tidy up before showering and bed. I was happy to relax and reset. I accomplished what I wanted in pumping our proposal’s and contracts.

Have a great week everyone.

WEEKLY BLOG: SPRING FORWARD, SICK DAY, & LOTS OF WALKING

This week I just wanted to enjoy the spring weather. All week the forecast is in the upper 70’s and on a couple of days we shall approach the 80 mark. My plan is to be outside as much as possible.

Sunday: Oh, I lost an hour of sleep. But spring is finally here and the sun is shining bright. I decided to go for a walk early afternoon to enjoy the weather. Boy, was it beautiful with a nice breeze. I was able to pray, meditate, and cleanse my mental. It felt amazing. Afterwards we had a great lunch and I did some editing. WEEKLY BLOG: NEW PERFUME, DETOX, & VISIT FROM AUNT. Later that evening we relaxed, watched a ton of college basketball, and enjoyed a great evening at my moms with her and my aunt.

Monday: Great start to the week and good morning. The sun is beautiful and the weather makes me want to stay home and go outside. However, work needs to be done. Had a great day at the office not too busy for a Monday. But was able to get some work done. The only thing on my agenda is to go for a walk as soon as possible because this 70ish degree weather feels great. Later in the evening the kids decided to lay around and thats when I took the chance to go out for a walk. It’s always nice to go out after work and commuting all day. This is my best form of therapy. I literally escaped and felt 10lbs lighter mentally and emotionally.

Tuesday: Ok, I think the time change and springing forward has began to bother me. Usually in the morning I’m not too draggy. But I have realized in the last couple of days, I’ve been a little sluggish to get up. Hopefully my continual detox, walking, and night routine Self Care: Sleep Routine helps me get back on track. However, I was feeling in the spirit after watching a great Joel Osteen sermon on Youtube. Work was the usual but I was able to get in some great note taking, brainstorming ideas, and some good reads. Later that evening, of course I went out. But this walk was special because I asked my daughter to go and she eagerly agreed to my surprise. It was a great time being able to connect and talk to her while we walked.

Wednesday: This morning started great. I usually do the morning drop off with all three kids. However, my son asked dad to go so he decided to go in late to work to give my son his request. Afterwards we decided to have breakfast at our favorite cafe before heading to work. This set up for a great rest of the day. I’ve learned when moments come, take them and enjoy them. Later on, we had an early dinner and the hubs and I decided to go out together. I love spending time with him and walking. Furthermore, we get to talk and have great conversation without the kids around. Lastly, I had to order my mom a new phone because I do take care of certain things for her.

Thursday: We had a horrible night and morning. So my youngest son, was up every two hours because he couldn’t breathe, sneezing, and sniffles. Well it was only allergies flaring up. He’d been outside all week so far and this is typical at this time of year. But because he didn’t get sleep, nor did I, we just stayed home and recouped. Of course, I always use this time to catch up on editing, writing, and contracts. All while doing things around the house. Throughout the day he progressively got better. My oldest son was having allergy flare ups as well, but he opted to go to school and tough it out. The evening was capped early. After walking, I got a cup of tea DIY…Starbucks Medicine Ball and turned it in.

Friday: T.G.I.F. TGIF: SELF CARE IS ALL AROUND YOU This day started great. Not as warm as previous days but still spring is in the air. My agenda for today was to clean and get some things done because we have plans for the weekend. As always the kids are happy it’s the weekend. They had testing this week so they wanted to order takeout and relax the rest of the evening. Naturally we didn’t want what the kids chose. So we, instead had an early date night and that was lovely. We enjoyed ourselves and the restaurant. The temps had dropped a little so I was ready to go home and binge watch T.V. under a throw. Because I had walked every day, I decided to give my body a break, take the evening off, and relax.

Saturday: My mom phone arrived. However, her phone case hasn’t yet. The last phone she dropped and it broke, so she’ll get the new phone with case in hand. We have plans to go to a basketball tournament later, so I went out for a walk early. It was beautiful and breezy out. Late afternoon, we decided to head to the tournament early so we could see several games. Once we purchased tickets, we could watch as many games as we wanted. But first, my youngest son didn’t want to go, so we dropped him off with grandma and my aunt. The games were very exciting, the kids played great, and we enjoyed ourselves. Afterwards, we had a great time at dinner. In the end we picked up my son, and turned in.

That was my full productive week. I had time with myself, my family, and went out with my husband, and enjoyed some fun activities, and worked. Some weeks I don’t balance it well and others I do amazing. But that is balancing everyday life. No two days will ever be the same, nor do I want them to. That would be boring. Embracing each day as it comes keeps me on my toes, challenges me, and breaks me out my comfort zone.

Have a great week.

WEEKLY BLOG: NEW PERFUME, DETOX, & VISIT FROM AUNT

This week the only thing on my mind is to detox my body and cleanse it out. I decided to eat Gumbo, it just didn’t sit well with my body. Water, lots of it, fish and veggies was the only thing on my diet this week.

Sunday: Woke up early to a very nice sunshine coming through the window. Instantly puts me in a good mood and ready to have a great day. The only thing on the agenda was braiding my daughters hair. She has very long and thick hair. It usually takes me two and half hours to do. The day started with breakfast as usual, no cafe coffee run. We opted to make our own at home. Then, of course, I dump a load of laundry in the washer. Next, about mid afternoon, I started my daughters hair which took me to early evening. Because my back usually hurts quite a bit when I finish her hair, I relax the rest of the time. So dinner (Gumbo) was already done and all I had to do was reheat it. I showered and binged watch ”Our Kind of People” the rest of the night.

Monday: So I woke up to a horrible stomach ache. This wasn’t your usual stomach ache that says you need to go to the bathroom. I was literally bent over holding my stomach at 5a.m. I tried to walk around, drink water, and go to the bathroom but it wasn’t getting any better. I pushed through and started my morning routine in getting the kids up and breakfast started. I wasn’t going to call in so I just pushed through. Very slow and quiet day at the office so I left early and went to the store to get everything I needed for a cleanse. Water, veggies, fish, and nighttime tea was the only thing on the menu for me all week. Later in the evening, I went for a walk and relaxed. To help me stay on track I’ve been using this water bottle https://amzn.to/3aVi78F that my daughter picked out to keep me motivated.

Tuesday: Still feeling a little blah, but making it. The water keeps me in the bathroom, but it feels good to flush my system out. DIY Cucumber Lemon Water GREAT REFRESHER After thinking about it, I think the Gumbo had too much salt in it. My body just didn’t react well. I usually keep a low sodium diet. Thank goodness the office was quiet and I was able to catch up on some work. We are preparing for my aunt to visit us for a while on Saturday. The evening we spent relaxing getting ready for a short day tomorrow.

Wednesday: Short day for all of us. The kids have a half day so I naturally will as well. I’m feeling better but sticking to my cleanse and low calorie diet. After getting home early, I decided to do a quick mid week cleanup. As a family of five, it gets cluttered quickly with everyone going to school and working. Once again, we are preparing for snow days ahead at the end of the week. So now, we’re all on stand by because we don’t know the expectations. Later in the evening, I enjoyed a workout, working on some contracts, and proposals.

Thursday: Snowing as we awake. But the kids still have school. However, by mid afternoon it tapered off. It was a very quiet day at the office. I was able to get a lot of notes, ideas, and proposals done. The snow is expected to pick up in the evening and continue on to the night. I decided to do a store run just in case we get snowed in again. As of the evening around 7p.m. the snow began but to our knowledge school wasn’t cancelled. So we went on with our evening as if everyone had to get up in the morning.

Friday: I am feeling much better. Received a call at 5:30a.m. from the school saying the day was cancelled. Of course the kids were happy, but I still had to make it to the office. Thankfully, we didn’t get what was expected. I was able to drive to work with no problem and had a quiet successful day at the office. My husband decided to leave work to stay home with the kids. It was still kind of cold, so we decided to stay in for the night.

Saturday: My new perfume is expected to arrive. I ordered me a new perfume (Calvin Klein Sheer Beauty) because I just wanted to and my Tom Ford Velvet Orchid finally ran out. At the moment perfume, is one of my favorite self care things I do to make myself feel good. The morning started great with breakfast. I am finally feeling like myself. Relaxed and watched tournaments of basketball because March Madness is approaching. Then I had this itch to clean. But first, I went to the store and stocked up on supplies and new oil diffusers. My aunt finally made it and it’s always fun when she visits. Later on we went out to dinner and then had ice cream again.

Have a great week everyone!!!!
